Works great with my water softener. The salt is clean, dissolves well, and doesn't clump. My water feels much softer, and my skin is smoother after showers. Easy to use and reliable. Will definitely buy again.

The crystals are what is required for my softener. This worked well all around: soft water, price and ease of handling for adding to my softener. This is my go to brand.

Crystals are the ONLY way to go with new water softeners and these work great and are a good price here at Walmart (especially when Sam's Club doesn't carry the crystals only the pellets - and you CANNOT add those pellets to a new system!!)

I bought this Morton water softener salt because we’ve been noticing hard water spots on dishes and buildup on our appliances. I’ve now used it for a couple months by adding it to my water softener as recommended, and I can definitely say the water feels softer — our dishes and faucets have fewer spots, and my hair and skin feel less dry after showers. What I especially appreciate is that it’s made from all natural, high-purity salt crystals with no additives, and it’s really simple to pour thanks to the sturdy handle and easy-tear bag. That made it much easier to handle than I expected for a 40 lb bag. The only minor downside is that it took a little longer to dissolve in my system than I thought it would — not a deal-breaker, but worth noting if you’re used to pellet formulas. Still, overall it’s a solid product that does what it’s supposed to do, and I feel confident recommending it for anyone dealing with hard water and looking for a simple, natural solution.

We use about one 40 lb bags every month for the brine tank of our whole-house water purification system and we find the Morton brand seems to be a higher quality than other brands. Do yourself a favor and always buy these bags in even numbers, because they are MUCH easier to carry two at a time (one in each hand) as the weight is evenly distributed.

I greatly appreciate that I can pull up to Walmart pickup area and someone will load these bags of salt into my car. It's very helpful and convenient.

Works well in our water Softener making the water good for your dry skin. It also helps with your hair and other areas of your body to make it soft and app-liable.

This salt works great in my purifier. I like the size of smaller pellets, but they tend to get stuck and not flow to the bottom of the purifier, which can trigger the alarm. I like the ease of pouring the pellets into the machine. The bags should be made sturdier; a couple of the bags were torn open, allowing salt to spill out.

Excellent product. It would be great if smaller bags were available. Yes, I reLize the unit price we would be marginally higher. However, my wife and I are both in our mid-70's and I have a progressive health condition that precludes my helping her with lifting, carrying, and pouring the large bags of salt.

This product was very vibrant. The bag was about 40lbs. I had to carry one in each hand to walk straight, otherwise the one bag I was carrying kept hitting my leg because it made me walk lopsided. And the flavor was very salty... Really made my mouth water. Pretty sure it made my cholesterol go up. Do not recommend chewing, cuz it chipped my tooth....
