Super cost effective, and I dont have to go to a big box home improvement store! Its NOT just for pools! Have a tree or bush you cut down but not stump removal? Just pour a half or full bag on the stump and walk away. Also good for plumbing sprinkler pvc lines that get roots. LOVE this product

Not the most exciting thing to review, but it's one of those products every home with a water softener needs. It pours easily, dissolves well and keeps our water feeling soft. We will continue to purchase.

Makes a noticeable difference when I use this salt vs no salt or salt from other brands. It comes in a sturdy plastic bags with carry handles on both sides which I appreciate because it's heavy and lugging it around is easier that way. It dissolves as it should in the softener and doesn't leave any residue.

Great quality and price! The salt is broken down into perfect small pellets, and I've been using this brand for my filtered water for a while now. The absolute best part is the home delivery. These bags are heavy, so not having to lug them into my car and into the house is a massive lifesaver.

If you are struggling with residue or issues in your water softener brine tank, switch to this immediately. I recently had a major headache with my water softener because the standard salt pellets I was using contained additives. Because they weren't fully pure, they caused a buildup that actually led to bacterial growth in my system. It was a very cumbersome process to get the system cleaned out. After the cleaning debacle, I switched to Morton Pure and Natural Water Softener Salt Crystals (40 lb), and the difference is night and day. Because these are natural crystals rather than compressed pellets with binders, they are incredibly pure and dissolve nicely. Since making the switch, my tank has stayed completely clean; no bacteria, no weird residue, and no bridging. The system is running beautifully, and our water quality is excellent. It is a fantastic product, and I will never go back to standard pellets. If you want a cleaner, lower-maintenance softener tank, these crystals are far superior! I will also add that the handle on the bag makes it a lot easier to carry and feed into the tank. The plastic bag is rather thick, so you don't have to worry about stress tears when you're picking it up.

We've used this salt for our water softener for quite a while and it works exactly as expected. The crystals dissolve well, help keep our water soft, and we've had no issues with buildup. The bags are sturdy and it's easy to find at Walmart. Great value for a product we rely on regularly.

This salt is dual purpose for us. We use it in our water softener and it works great to de-ice the driveway and steps. I have also used it free a stuck car as it greatly improves traction on ice. I keep at least 1 bag in my plow truck for just such occasions.

We do not use this in a pool. We use this instead of rock salt. It is a nice fine grade. We also do not have to worry about any animals stepping on it. Dogs and some cats will swim in a pool and this of course does not hurt them. You do not have the mess that rock salt leaves. This works ten times better. Just make sure you use the "fine grade"

This product was very vibrant. The bag was about 40lbs. I had to carry one in each hand to walk straight, otherwise the one bag I was carrying kept hitting my leg because it made me walk lopsided. And the flavor was very salty... Really made my mouth water. Pretty sure it made my cholesterol go up. Do not recommend chewing, cuz it chipped my tooth....
