Why did this go up in price so much to 37.99 per 40 lb. bag? I give a good amount of tips for delivering this to my house porch and I carry it into my basement myself. So why the high price?

This is good salt for a water filter. The biggest issue is the weight. Ship it to the store so you can pick up 8 bags or so and you're set for a few months.

For those that said Home depot is cheaper. Home Depot is 1$ less, but the bag is only 25lb vs Sam's 40lb bag. Therefore H.D. is WAY more expensive.
