At first touch it didn’t seem that sticky but after sticking it and trying to pull off it is a very heft tape. I I received this item for free.

"Sure Start" is not as thick as the older 3M packaging tape. I used it on all sides of a 20 pound box of books in the usual way (no problems with taping like this in the past). The recipient just wrote to say the box arrived burst open with some other junk in it (not the books), with the statement, "next time use a LOT more tape." So don't rely on this !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mail a lot of packages and after several disasters, Scotch is the ONLY tape that I buy. The regular shipping is good for most mail. The Heavy Duty is good for very large or very heavy packages. It doesn't wrinkle, it sticks tight, is easy to cut on the cutter and has just the right tension to control the tape. I love Scotch and will never again try a "cheaper" brand!

Most importantly, you can always find where the darn thing begins when you need to use it again. Of course, it holds extremely well too. (I received this from 3M to review.) I will only buy this product in future because it is such an improvement on all the others currently out there.

I bought a roll of this “easy to unwind” Scotch tape, hoping to avoid the continual battles with the regular tape being almost impossible to find the end to get started. This tape, although it has a gentler adhesive, is packaged so that the very thin and tight wrapping is almost impossible to find and get started. There are no indications or directions that this type is shrink wrapped with a very hard to see or feel cellophane wrapper. Took me many minutes of scratching and trying to guess how to get into the actual tape roll. Really nasty, and should have a starter flap that is easy to pull up and unwind the covering. Very, very frustrating. You’d think Scotch by now would have a handle on this, but not this time. The tape seems fine though

I have an online business, and I ship between 250-300 packages/year, and this is the only tape I use. Every other brand - the tape sticks to itself constantly, and it's difficult to peel the end back up/get it started again. But I rarely have issues like that with this tape. Plus, one time my visor on my car broke (photo attached), and it hung down so far I couldn't see when I was driving to my cousin's house on Christmas Eve. It was close to midnight, and there weren't any garages open, of course. Luckily, I had some tape in my purse! I taped the visor to the ceiling of my car, and it held another 100 miles until I got to my cousin's! Now, that's STRONG tape! Didn't think to take a photo AFTER I taped up the visor, but you get the idea...:)

I have shipped several packages over the past few months and this tape has been one of the easiest to use. It performs as it says, it is easy to unwind and does not get tangled on itself. I've really enjoyed using it and will purchase it once I have run out.

I always have problems with it sticking to where I don't need it though (mainly itself) so this packing tape is what I needed. Even if I move it weird and make it fall off the cutting part I could get it restarted without pulling tiny strands of it like other times. Glad I got this to review - I always need tape and it has helped.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is very easy to use. Easy to tear off in a straight line and it sticks very well to boxes. It didnt get tangled up and stick to the piece like other tapes I have used. It was easy to find the start and get the tape going.
