[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What an improvement. I think we’re all used to online ordering. However, despite our best intentions some things still need to be returned. This tape starts easy even if I miss the end. It’s a one pass wonder. No more making multiple passes to seal up the packages. The dispenser has a nice sharp blade to cut the end. So glad to have received this free product in exchange for my review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotch Sure Start Packaging Tape is easy to start and easy on each subsequent use. The end easily releases from the rest of the roll, and the tape is nearly silent as it is pulled from the roll. The dispenser includes a cutting edge that quickly cuts the tape and does does cause splits. I highly recommend this tape for household use. 3M provided a free sample of this product to evaluate. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is strong as you can get for packing and shipping. Secures boxes without needing a ton of extra tape to insure closure. The only problem I had was starting the roll. The tape claims “sure start” which I had a problem with. Most heavy duty packing tape has a starting tab to get the roll going. I had 3 people in my house try to get this roll going, 3m, please use a paper starting tab on the beginning of the roll. That’s one of the most frustrating things with any new tape roll.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample roll of the Sure Start tape and loved how easily it rolls across the package. Most of all, I loved how quiet it was when dispensing. I have used other tapes that are very noisy and hard to maneuver, but that is not the case with the Sure Start. I will be buying this in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Reviewing a free sample from 3m. The Sure Start tape was high quality tape, easy to use and apply. I didn’t see a big extra benefit to the Sure Start label. Whether the tape does or doesn’t roll back into the tape roll still depends on how the user uses the tape and finishes with the end. But, again, quality packing tape as always.

This tape does not stick and I do not trust it enough to send packages through the mail. The tape easily lifts off the roll sure enough, but once on the package it easily lifts off the package. The tape is unfortunately, quite useless for mailing packages and I couldn't imaging that it would be useful for anything....maybe Christmas wrapping paper.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free sample of Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape in exchange for an honest review. I was really excited to try this product, as I am a frequent user of packing tape. As a preschool teacher, I use it almost daily to make sensory bags or art projects. I'm always looking for a solid dispenser, with a strong tape inside. I really love the dispenser on this! It makes it easy to use with one hand, and the tape doesn't slip onto itself (so annoying!). I gave it a 4 star rating out of 5 because the tape itself is decent, but a little thin. I find myself having to use a few layers for my needs. Other than that, a great tape product!

This was on sale and I bought it seal shipping boxes. I made up a stack of boxes the started filling them and the tape is separating from the boxes before there’s even anything in them. Also, when I put it on the tape gun, I keep pulling out too long a strip because it pulls off the tape wheel too easily. It’s making shipping take longer because I have to check every seam and readhere it.

I’m having trouble getting used to using the hand held dispenser, as I am used to a tape gun. I think it’s more of a user issue than a quality issue. One thing I noticed is that the dispenser doesn’t allow the end of the tape to fall back against the roll and become “lost”. I appreciate that. I was provided this item for free so that I could review it.
