[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotch Sure Start Packing Tape works great! I was very pleased with the ease of use and the consistency. The tape didn’t get all bunched up and it was very easy to tear off pieces or wrap around boxes.

The end easily releases from the rest of the roll, and the tape is nearly silent as it is pulled from the roll. The dispenser includes a cutting edge that quickly cuts the tape and does does cause splits. I highly recommend this tape for household use. 3M provided a free sample of this product to evaluate. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape recently for the first time to send a package to a friend. With other brands that I've used in the past, the package has arrived in fairly good condition but the tape I had used to hold the label on had come off or bled in the rainy weather, and on some occasions the package had been returned to me because it had come open during shipping. I didn't have any of those issues this time when I used Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape! The label stayed attached and withstood rain water, the contents were intact and the box did not come untapped! Also starting this roll of tape was easier than other kinds. This one didn't rip and come off in small pieces or strips, which can be incredibly annoying. Definitely going to be stepping my packaging tape game up with more Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is superior to the generic brands, the money you save with the cheaper brands isn't worth it. I don't buy this everyday, the small savings isn't worth the hassle and lost time when the tape sticks to itself and isn't able to be used.

I used it this tape early this morning to prepare a box for shipping and was pleasantly surprized to find that I did not wake up my whole family. Usually tape makes a very distinctive noise and this one is silent! As usual, it is a 3M sticky product and it works just like it should, nice and sticky. Dispenser was a little confusing at first, but once I used it, it made perfect sense. Another great Scotch 3M product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free from 3M to evaluate and review. 1) It wasn't easy to unwind at first. It took a while to determine where the roll of packaging tape starts. The colored portion of the tape is not where the roll started. The starting point was an inch away from the colored part of the tape. That was confusing. 2) I liked when the tape is torn off by the perforated blade, that the end can be held up on the packaging tape holder. This must be the amazing fall-back tab technology. 3) The packaging tape unwinds quietly. 4) It would had been a nice touch if 3M shipped the package containing the packing tape with the actual packaging tape I was reviewing, but alas, 3M did not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this tape. It starts easily and does not rip vertically, becoming narrow, or ever how that is said. The dispenser is easy to use and cuts the tape with ease. I sometimes will squeeze a tape dispenser so that the tape does not roll. However, this dispenser is designed where that does not happen. The tape rolls effortlessly. Well done 3M!

This tape does not stick and I do not trust it enough to send packages through the mail. The tape easily lifts off the roll sure enough, but once on the package it easily lifts off the package. The tape is unfortunately, quite useless for mailing packages and I couldn't imaging that it would be useful for anything....maybe Christmas wrapping paper.
