[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually buy Scotch tape products because they are always frustration-free. This new quieter version of their shipping tape did not disappoint! Easy to start and really is quieter! It was nice to roll it out across my box and not have that loud "eh-eh" noise. Just as thick as the original one too.

I wanted to like this tape. Was very pleased with the thickness, the feel and it did unroll easily. HOWEVER, like most of the negative reviews, it does not stick! How can anything sticky not stick to cardboard??? Somehow this doesn't. If you are shipping anything, do not trust this tape. If you're trying to seal anything besides cardboard, like a plastic shipping tote/crate, etc..., forget about it. It will not stay on before it arrives to its destination. I have to run multiple full circumferential strips of tape to seal a cardboard box and then run strips perpendicular to tape the tape and then cross my fingers. I have taped a shipping label printed on regular paper to a shipping tote by completely covering the label and it was lost because the label came off. The only reason it was found was because of the little tag that FedEx puts on packages with pre-printed labels. Great feel and strength but just doesn't stick.

I am grateful to try what is an easily dispensed transparent tape that rolls out easily, cleanly cuts evenly, doesn’t wad up or fray . I have had trouble in the past with some tapes not dispensing well, splitting and never being able to get a clean even cut again. This tape has consistently cut evenly. I appreciate the tape is made from recycled materials. Great innovation 3M! It is a durable tape. I send books to my home schooled grandkids , this tape gives me confidence that my package will arrive intact.

It did not get stuck to the roll and split when trying to start for the use. Other tape I feel like I wast so much tape trying to get is started each time. Not this tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free. I have always been a fan of Scotch Packaging Tape and will forever be one. Part of the issues with the old tapes were getting them started and keeping them going without wasting a few feet worth of tape trying to get it restarted. With the Scotch® Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape I call this Problem Solved! While the tape is strong enough to bond to all the boxes I've used it on, it's easy to get the roll re-going if the tape happens to slide back onto the roll surface. I have found that one strip of Scotch® Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape on the box seals it beautifully, without the need of tape over tape to keep it secure. As a plus, the Scotch® Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape dispenser it was presented on is easy to use and it's refillable! No more industrial size packaging tape dispensers for me! I highly recommend the Scotch® Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape for all uses! I'm so happy I have one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M sent me a roll of Scotch "Sure Start" shipping/packaging tape to try. Finding and pulling the end of the tape is super easy. There is no struggle peeling it back, opposed to the multiple started shreds of past packaging tapes. The tape feels lighter than other version of Scotch packaging tape, yet it is just as strong and sticky. While in the tape holder, the Scotch Sure Start tape freely peels from the roll allowing it to easily flow while pulling it across a box without the shudder and nose.

The dispenser is easy to use and cuts the tape with ease. I sometimes will squeeze a tape dispenser so that the tape does not roll. However, this dispenser is designed where that does not happen. The tape rolls effortlessly. Well done 3M!
