I use to cover cracks near windows to keep out cold air. I use it when my window air conditioners are installed to make sure no air comes in the the AC's stay in place.

Being an avid online shopper I am constantly in need of packing tape to return items that didn't fit right or were damaged on arrival. This tape is perfect. True to the advertising it is easy to find the end each time and I didn't feel the need to fold it over for the next use. I had a plastic packing tape holder and tried this both on the holder and without. Of course the holder had a cutting tool on it which made the process even easier. This is not tape that you can tear with your bare hands - just like every other packing tape. It held well and did exactly what I needed it to!

Most of all, I loved how quiet it was when dispensing. I have used other tapes that are very noisy and hard to maneuver, but that is not the case with the Sure Start. I will be buying this in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually buy Scotch tape products because they are always frustration-free. This new quieter version of their shipping tape did not disappoint! Easy to start and really is quieter! It was nice to roll it out across my box and not have that loud "eh-eh" noise. Just as thick as the original one too.

I wanted to like this tape. Was very pleased with the thickness, the feel and it did unroll easily. HOWEVER, like most of the negative reviews, it does not stick! How can anything sticky not stick to cardboard??? Somehow this doesn't. If you are shipping anything, do not trust this tape. If you're trying to seal anything besides cardboard, like a plastic shipping tote/crate, etc..., forget about it. It will not stay on before it arrives to its destination. I have to run multiple full circumferential strips of tape to seal a cardboard box and then run strips perpendicular to tape the tape and then cross my fingers. I have taped a shipping label printed on regular paper to a shipping tote by completely covering the label and it was lost because the label came off. The only reason it was found was because of the little tag that FedEx puts on packages with pre-printed labels. Great feel and strength but just doesn't stick.

It's easy to pull and cut. The tape is nice and strong and I know it will hold up. I like to online shop so I'm constantly returning things. I need a good shipping tape to box up my returns. I always go with Scotch Shipping Tape!

Thanks to 3M's new Scotch Sure Start Packaging Tape, I no longer have to be concerned about that issue. In fact, I can do my packaging late at night and not have to worry about waking anyone up now! In addition to that, this tape starts and stops seamlessly without fraying or splitting! Not having to spend ten minutes trying to get the roll of tape back to an even rolling pattern when it splits/tears is wonderful! As busy as my schedule is a lot of days, it's so nice to have another tool/product that makes your life easier and more productive and the Scotch Sure Start Packaging Tape does just that and without compromising the excellent quality we already love with 3M Scotch Packaging Products! Needless to say, I'll definitely be stocking up on this new packing tape!!
