[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotch Sure Start Packaging Tape is easy to start and easy on each subsequent use. The end easily releases from the rest of the roll, and the tape is nearly silent as it is pulled from the roll. The dispenser includes a cutting edge that quickly cuts the tape and does does cause splits. I highly recommend this tape for household use. 3M provided a free sample of this product to evaluate. It sticks just like the other kinds of shipping tape, but you know that loud ripping sound when you’re trying to tape up a box quietly in an office setting, only for it to be obnoxiously loud anyway? Well- not with this! It really is much quieter. A+++ 3M :)

First, what I like: the refillable plastic dispenser is superb. It's designed with little plastic tabs on either side, underneath the blade, so that after you cut off your preferred length of tape, the end of the tape no longer flops down on the roll, leaving you to have to turn the roll around and around until you find the start. I wanted to pack at night but the tape roll would wake my daughter without fail. This product is quiet! It’s easy to rip with one hand. Strong as can be. And there’s a very nice amount on the roll.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Reusing a mailable box was an opportune time to use my new *Scotch packaging tape”. The new roll was easy to use with the enclosed dispenser, which is made from recycled content. First I removed the bright yellow caution piece, then, Located the start of tape, which even with long nails, was easy to start. I threaded the tape, boxed, closed and easily & quietly taped the packaged. After I finish taping I always fold the start back on itself for easy start next time. This is a great packaging tape-no splintering or splitting while using. It is easy for me to recommend this Scotch Sure Start Packaging tape. I love Scotch Brand products (3M). I rated this product a 4.5 because I prefer the Scotch Box Lock Shipping tape. It is a thicker and stronger tape, which I use I on moving boxes. However this Scotch packaging tape is perfect for lighter packages. * I received this free sample from 3M to evaluate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this to seal a box for mailing. The dispenser was a little awkward to use, perhaps I have the tape feeding incorrectly. It seems the dispenser with the handle is easier to use. I do love the tape itself. It was quiet when I rolled it across the box and easy to roll.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape holds up really well when I was taping up boxes to ship out. Is definitely a thicker feeling tape so I feel like it did a really good job and I didn't need to tape things twice to make sure I had a strong hold.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Timing is everything as I received my free Scotch Sure Start tape during the packing up of my in-laws as they were scheduled to move in a few weeks. Since all family members were enlisted to help, I was the only one the new Sure Start Tape and I became the fastest sealer of the boxes. This tape is so easy to use it was incredible. It unwinds off the roll with ease, it doesn’t break or split and cuts easily. Since everyone else was struggling with other tapes I was elected to seal all boxes. Plus it came off the role quietly. I gladly accepted the challenge due to this product. I did not want to use any other tape as this tape really did spoil me. As a big user of packaging tape for many chores around house I stock up on Sure Start Tape.

The tape worked as expected and was so easy to start- when others (store brands) take forever to find the beginning. As we taped up our boxes I know they were taped well you can just tell. I was sent this product to use in exchange for a review. My comments are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product to ship a box to a friend. It was a heavier quality tape that was easier to use than others I have used! I was able to find the end easier to get it started again and it tore easily. The only part was lifting it, it tore at the end and some got wasted but less than with other tapes. It was also quieter, which may sound weird but my son has some sensory issues and does not like the sound made by other tapes. I will definitely use again (I ship often!).
