Only used it once so far after setup. Incredible power difference from my old 2550 psi unit. It’s quieter too. Easy to operate, stable platform, and started on the first pull. Large capacity fuel tank and variable pressure control makes it more versatile around the house. So far, very happy.

I bought this i think in August of this year and I am super pleased with it The pressure washer has more than enough power to clean anything you want in half the time you used too with lower psi washers The only draw back for me is that I am a 73 year old man and it is a little hard for me to pull start wish I would have bought electric start This is by far the best pressure washer I have ever owned I have had three others Would buy again in a heartbeat

I originally bought a less powerful model from another manufacturer. I wasn't pleased and set out to get a better power washer for my home. I checked many models, features, and cost. The Simpson PS4240 is the bomb -- by far the best product and cost. Has the power to do any job and the durability to last a long time.

I bought this pressure washer to replace my old one that finally went to pressure washer heaven after 15 faithful years. The Simpson PS3228 comes with a great Honda engine (GX200) that unlike the consumer grade GC series it is expected to last forever. The engine is matched to a Triple Plunger Triplex pump producing 3300psi (3350psi measured at the pump outlet) at 2.5 gallons per minute. That is more than enough cleaning power for any homeowner or even for light commercial use. I would had preferred a CAT pump but Simpson provides a 5 year warranty on the pump so I have no complains there. The machine comes with everything you need to start power washing in the box. I was pleasantly surprised that No Assembly Required. After fueling the engine and put the supplied oil, the engine started on the first pull. I put the high reach nozzle on the wand (bought separately) pulled the gun trigger and the water reached the roof of my two story house with enough force to clean the siding. I am happy that I do not have to climb a ladder any more for cleaning the siding of my house. Overall the 3228 is a very nice pressure washer, priced right and stands out as the best value of washers with similar features. However, in my opinion there are a couple of things that Simpson could do better. Firstly the hose supplied is a 1/4, 25 feet light duty hose. It is a hose that someone would expect from an electric washer in the 1700 to 2500psi. It would be nice to include a 50 feet 3/8 hose. Secondly and most important the handle of the cart is positioned right if you are 4 feet tall. For normal people that are 5 to 6 feet tall Simpson must provide a taller handle or at least a handle extension.

Honda GX200 engine is perfect for any residential cleaning effort. Starts on a single pull whether cold or warm. Fuel efficient. Recommend to use 90+ octane, non-ethanol fuel. AAA pump is strong. Catches prime quickly and never struggles to deliver pressure. Frame has low vibration with sturdy rubber feet, doesn't "walk". Only improvement could be to provide a 31" wand vs. the included 16" wand.

I bought this pressure washer as a replacement for a residential duty washer owned for 8 years that experienced an engine failure. Used primarily for cleaning walkways, wood deck and vinyl siding at home. Very powerful and had to dial back pressure so as not to remove baked on enamel paint from aluminum window trim! Engine starts easily and runs strong. Fuel tank size allows washing for long periods before refueling is needed. Engine vibration under pressure washing load is severe causing rapid wear of the rubber feet and shaking the washer tips out of their holders. Tips not in use need to be removed from their holders and rags placed under rubber feet to prevent them from wearing away. Overall satisfied with performance but concerned the severe vibration will eventually result in failures of other components. Use of pump preservative is awkward.

Fantastic pressure washer, only problem is that the needle/seat doesn't seal so it drains the tank into the cylinder and I had to remove the plug and pull the rope to get all the gas out then from that point on I have to close the fuel shut-off valve every time I stop the engine.

I choose the 4240H because of the Honda GX390 motor and this unit can handle a 20 inch BE surface cleaner. My spouse wanted to use it to clean our brick house. Well, it's a bit to powerful for her 110 lb frame. The "kickback" when she pulls the trigger almost knocks her over, but she has learned to handle it. I recommend you buy from a local store because mine had a few dents from the UPS guys. You may have to pay an extra$20.

I have had this pressure washer for about 3 weeks now and put it to work right out of the box and all I can say is wow, it performs above my expectations. It starts good usually 1 pull and I truthfully can not come up with any complaints as of yet. The pressure is great, I use it with a sand blast attachment and again no complaints. I recommend this pressure washer!!!

I will start that I have looked at buying a pressure washer for over a month. I have looked at and read reviews on just about everything out there. Then I became familiar with the capability of the different psi’s. 2800 psi seems to be most common however after using one it was very much underpowered even for home use. There is quite a price jump in washers say 3000 psi and up. After seeing a hand full of reconditioned washers in the store I was even more apprehensive one picking a brand. I knew I wanted a 3000 psi or higher. On this pressure washer a Simpson 4400 psi for the price was a steal. The reviews were not so impressive. After reading over 50 reviews I made my choice to give this a shoot. The thing that stood out more then the problems people were reporting was the high level of customer service Simpson offered to have repairs made. Anything with an engine will breakdown and have good customer service makes all the difference. I have not had any problems with this pressure washer as of yet. I have put about 40 hours on it so far. I can say I have gotten my money out of it already so I’m rather pleased.
