Powerful!

I bought this on April 17, 2018 and very glad I did! I've used it only once for a couple hours on my sidewalk and driveway and man does it have power and do an awesome job in a short time!!! All my neighbors are wanting to hire me and my new toy out! Lol

POWERFULL

I purchased this 3 months ago it has awesome power when you can get it started ! but this is very hard to get started I use non oxy premium fuel it is getting plenty of fuel and the throttle and choke are set correct according to the manual but once it starts and is warm it will start on the first pull after that !

Great machine with a couple of flaws.

I've had this machine for only a week and only 1 hour and 20 minutes of run time on the hourmeter I installed, so this review is only an initial assessment. The machine is a beast and not for the frail, it's heavy, the monster hose needs to be rolled, not lassoed, and the recoil from the pressure is a good 30 pounds, so be prepared to get a good workout in. Otherwise, besides it's few flaws, I love it. I ran it at 2750 rpms on the first use to break it in and really, that's more pressure and volume than most other machines put out at full power, and at that rpm the engine sounds like it's just cruising along rather than screaming. The one major flaw is the pressure release valve installed on the pump, when you shut the machine down it sometimes squirts cold water on a very hot engine resulting in a cloud of steam and the engine complaining with all sorts of crackling sounds from the sudden and unequal contraction on one side of the cylinder wall. I solved the flaw with a rubber elbow and a stainless hose clamp, something Simpson could do for pennies. The other issue is the grab handle that goes over the engine, it doesn't fit squarely against the other handle and I had to leave it off.

Busy mom loved it!

I've borrowed my neighbors for years and finally bought my own. The PS3228-S was suggested to me and did not let me down! Mother of 5 so I need things to work when they are supposed to! Don't have time to mess around! Very reliable, easy to start and work with. My neighbor borrows mine now!

so far so good

The product works great you definitely have to buy the extra nozzles and attachments to get the full capabilities out of it though. Also I read in some reviews that the machine shakes too much and it will spin in circles or uneven ground i didn't have any of those issues.

good quality

I bought the Simpson PowerShot 3200 PSI pressure washer and it started on the first pull. It is simple to use and the Honda Motor indicates a quality which I have relied on in the past. Over all the pressure performed up to what I had intended its use for. Here are some of the problems that caused a delay in my initial use of this pressure washer; 1. The pressure hose that came with the unit is of the screw on type and not the quick connect which is sold in most stores. I counld not find these hoses sold any where locally. It took me several trips to different hardware stores to find the necessay adapters so I could add on an additional quick connect high pressure hose. The additional cost was Approx. $50 and made the purchase from Sam's less attractive as far as savings go. 2. I tried several times to get the soap pick up to work, but was unsuccessful and will try to contact MFG. to see if they have any ideas. 3. The pressure washer nozzles that come with the machine all work very good. The problem is that they will not stay in the tray provided on the pressure washer and tend to get lost. If I had to do this purchase again I would have bought locally knowing what you see is what you get. Even after buying all of the connectors I can only use the pressure washer with both hoses connected unless I want to remove all connectors and then use the screw on connector hose my itself.

Best of several I've owned

Living on a lake, with three decks, boat dock, and a walkway down a hill to the shore... I clean wood, paving stones, retaining walls, etc. with this pressure washer and it is a pleasure to finally have a reliable starting, powerful aid to my efforts {I'm 75 years old}. After years, since buying it back in 2014, this review is based on experience. It runs as if brand new. Starts easily as can be! I did put some non-marring tires after changing to a cedar deck, and noticed that despite the drain holes ~ the heat shield over the muffler rusted at the attachment screws. I also am delighted at how it folds down compactly to fit under my workbench, and after winterizing it happily gets hoisted into the attic over the garage until next season. Conclusion: Simpson has done a fine job here and demonstrates a company commitment to quality and fine engineering.

Good Machine... But Beware

Reliable and powerful. But, be careful of the muffler placement with this machine. The muffler guard gets extremely hot. I found out the hard way when restarting after using for 10 minutes. The guard is black just like the gas tank and air filter cover so it blends well with those parts. When using the pull starter I needed a place to rest my other hand and inadvertently rested on top of the guard. 2nd degree burns and large blisters later I am power washing again. My recommendation is if Honda cannot relocate muffler, then at least paint the guard red "HOT" where it stands out from other black parts. Also watch your spray nozzles, mine have vibrated loose from holders.

No problems after 20 hour run time.

Bought this unit 2 months ago. I’ve had no problems with it after 10 jobs. Plenty of power! A quick squirt of the wand releases line pressure to pull start. If it doesn’t start on first pull, release line pressure again. When starting, don’t put your foot on air stem of tire, it will break.

Rugged, reliable Pressure Washer

GoRiver Marine has been using this pressure washer for a few years without any issues. We have worn out the original hose and gun, which were upgraded with commercial grade parts. We use this equipment hard and it keeps on running. Thanks for making a great machine.
