These arrived quickly and I checked the "good by" date on them as there have been some complaints of some being beyond their expiration date. I found these to be more than 6 months from their expiration date. The cookies are soft and taste great. I donated one package to my local red cross blood donation center as these are the best snack for after donating blood.

They are good but now ridiculously expensive. You think you’re eating something healthy, and it’s a better choice than many options but if you eat what would seem like a normal amount of four to six of these you’re looking at as 25% of your RDA for calories and you’re approaching as many calories as a normal meal. I used to eat them by the sleeve.

One of my sons is a major snacker & this is one of his favorite choices as snack choice for at school & his after school snack before we begin homework. Its a good size box with ea pkg containing 2 decent sized fig newton cookies in it. They arent the smaller squares you get in store cookie packaging, they are 2 longer rectangle cookies.

Talking to my brother on the phone and he said his Sams had them and he was eating one right then, try on-line. I really like the convenience of these individually wrapped Fig Newton snack packs. Each pack contains two cookies (about the same as four regular-sized cookies), making them the perfect size to toss into my lunch bag or a snack bag for road trips or busy days. The cookies arrived fresh and soft, and the flavor is very close to the Fig Newtons I remember enjoying when I was younger. The only reason I’m giving them four stars instead of five is that the cookie portion isn’t quite as moist as it used to be. It was a little crumbly, and since I have a hard time swallowing dry foods, I need to have a drink nearby while eating them. Even so, they’re still a tasty, convenient snack that satisfies when I’m craving a classic treat.

At 73, can definitely remember the "original formula" version. This so-called modern formulation is so diluted, pathetic version of the original...will never buy this perverted version again...sorry to see it go!

The new recipe is awful, these are not like the original and the price is outrageous. Go generic if you want the old flavor and texture.

I have been eating Fig Newtons all of my life. In the past year, I noticed a change in the texture (crumbly) and taste of Fig Newtons. The last 3 boxes I purchased from Sams had a few packages that were squished and not glued properly. The weird thing was that the boxes were not damaged. So one could conclude they were squished at the factory and placed in the boxes. I spoke to a customer service agent at my local Sam's that told me this was a manufacturer issue. I called Mondelez's toll free number and spoke to a customer service agent that told me this was a Sam's issue, not a Nabisco issue.
