[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Jennie-O lean ground turkey. Was introduced to it a little over a year ago and was instantly hooked. It's so versatileand healthy. My favorite it to brown the turkey, add celery, red, yellow and green bell pepper, season with Himalayan pink salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Slap Ya Mama cajun seasoning, add water, cover and simmer. Add baby spinach when it's almost done and mmmm it's so good! Serve on top of brown rice! Everybody loves it!

It's so versatile- I have used the sausage tubes in scrambled eggs for breakfasts that fuel me all day long, especially when I've got no time for a lunch break some days. I've used the various lean products both seasoned and plain to cook up some of my personal favorites (chilli!) and crowd pleasers like meatballs and skillet hash :)

I use it in place of ground beef to reduce the fat content and cholesterol that I am consuming. It is a healthier alternative, per my nutritionist and physician. I use Jennie-O Ground Turkey to make spaghetti sauce, sloppy Joe's, lasagna, and even Turkey burgers on the grill. Everything is so delicious and best of all very nutritious.

Keep coming back to this product because we try and stay away from additives and preservatives, and ground turkey is in so many ways better than other options. I came here to review this product and was sad to see that the same issue I've had a few times has happened to others, with small pieces of bones in the meat. We've had the problem in a few packages... some are bone free, but enough have had bones that it makes us question every time we cook it and eat it. Today again I found a piece of bone in my turkey (had mixed it only into pasta sauce) that was small enough to not be noticed while cooking but large enough to hurt to bite down on, about 1-2 mm in length. Again, I love how the product is free of other chemical products, how it cooks, and how it can substitute for beef, but the bones are just super disappointing.

Weight has always been very consistent, but my latest purchase of two 2-packs (total 10 lbs) was short by about 1.5oz on each 2.5 lb package for a total shortage of 6oz. This was using the same scale as I have for some time, and the weights have always been almost exactly as listed on the label. If you expect to make 40 burger patties, you will be disappointed and have overpaid by $1.19

I have been buying Jennie O ground turkey for years. However, this last package I purchased, after cooking, I noticed tiny bone fragments. It is very unpleasant when chewing the food. I can feel the hard tiny fragments in between my teeth. I wonder if other customers have noticed it too?

The packaging is really nice and clean looking, the meat is easy to shape and cook, and it's about the perfect amount for two burgers! Thank goodness for your ground turkey because I've been recently diagnosed with high blood pressure and cholesterol, and it really helps me limit my intake of red meat.
