Buyer beware!!! It says lean, but is actually a high fat food. Check the label when you get home. It isn’t 2.5g of fat per serving. It’s actually 8g (the label photo is wrong) and this product has almost 50% of it’s calories from fat. You might as well eat beef.

I usually have good luck with this product and that's why I gave 2 stars, but the last few products I have purchased have not been of good quality. The last package I bought I cooked 5 days before the use/freeze by date and it was already rancid (stored and handled correctly since the time of purchase). Would have taken it back to the store, but lost my receipt. It also smelled so bad I had to take it outside. Very disappointing and waste of money.

My daughter even loves it and takes it in her school lunch tote!!!

I use Jennie O Ground Turkey for most of my meals now. Anywhere from tacos, burgers or even chili. It is my main go-to ingredient for most of my meals. I have recommended this to family and friends. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use ground turkey where you would normally use beef and have now for 4 years since I developed a meat allergy from a tick bite. The price is very affordable and cheaper then beef. It has been a great alternative so that I can still enjoy the foods I love that most people would use beef. I also love the fact of the other turkey products that are as well, especially the hot dogs as I can still have them as a one my favorite foods.

Keep coming back to this product because we try and stay away from additives and preservatives, and ground turkey is in so many ways better than other options. I came here to review this product and was sad to see that the same issue I've had a few times has happened to others, with small pieces of bones in the meat. We've had the problem in a few packages... some are bone free, but enough have had bones that it makes us question every time we cook it and eat it. Today again I found a piece of bone in my turkey (had mixed it only into pasta sauce) that was small enough to not be noticed while cooking but large enough to hurt to bite down on, about 1-2 mm in length. Again, I love how the product is free of other chemical products, how it cooks, and how it can substitute for beef, but the bones are just super disappointing.
