My husband didn't want the peppered he asked a sales person if they had the original because the sign said both peppered and the original well he looked on his phone and said well it says we have and my husband said do you have any in the back and he said well it says we do,however he never went to look

The Old Trapper is peppered flavor, the family size comes in an 18 ounces package. The flavor is sweet, given the brown sugar listed as an ingredient, total carbohydrates is 6 grams per 1 ounce. The same 1 ounce provides 11 grams of protein. I found the sweetness overpowering. The pepper flavor comes un the after taste. I would prefer less sweetness.

Delicious! This is the best beef jerky, that I've had in a long time.
