My husband and sons both enjoy this beef jerky! We’ve bought it at grocery stores before, but then we recently spotted it at Sam’s Club in a family size at a better price, (10 oz. for $16.99 elsewhere vs. 18 oz. For $19.98 at Sam’s) so we’ll be buying it here from now on.

My husband is a fan of jerky as a protein snack, and while I don’t eat it often, I decided to try this brand for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. Unlike other brands I’ve tried, which didn’t appeal to me, I genuinely enjoyed this one. Old Trapper Peppered Jerky is delicious, and I found myself wanting more. I think it’s an excellent protein snack and will be keeping it in my pantry regularly. I will definitely buy it again.

I've been chewing on jerky for the better part of ... Well let's just say a few decades. And in all that time, I've spent a lot of $$$. I was never one to try any other brand and always went with that one popular brand. You know the one... Anyway, I kept buying bags that included on occasion, some pieces of soft mushy goo disguised as jerky. I got online to see if others were getting the same type of goo. I found myself in a jerky connoisseur forum where everyone was bashing that "best selling" brand. (You know the one). Anyway, the rave was all about the Old Farmers brand and once I tried it, I never went back to the old stuff. It's well worth the cost at right around $1 per ounce. Compare to $1.69 online from the Zon site. WAY more affordable at Sam's! Whether it's Hot & Spicy or the Peppered type. They're BOTH delicious. Get yourself a bag... or like me, TWO! You'll thank me later. Mmmmm! *****

I like my beef jerky with some spicy but I like to be able to taste the beef as well. While other brands add so much spicy flavor your mouth is on fire after just one bite, this is just the right amount of spicy flavor.

wow! So much black pepper! It was too much for me, but I am not a hard core black pepper eater. This felt like having peppercorns in my mouth. Once I wiped off what I could with my hands, the meat was perfection and the rest of the flavorings were supreme- I WILL 100% buy the brand again!! I’ll just go with a different flavor. Great job, Old Trapper!

This is the best deal on jerky around. Not too sweet, the pepper keeps you from overdoing it so it’s good for grazing. If I had all the capacity in the world I would simple make an insane amount of biltong instead but for big box store bought protein this is the way to go!

I noticed the extra large package and I really love beef jerky. This is my usual source of protein when I'm on the road, we ride motorcycles and travel a lot so this works to be a perfect source of protein. I like the flavor and the quality It has a good pepper, and some pieces are a bit on a tough side but I quite enjoy that for regular beef jerky.

Not much else to say. Just the right amount of pepper. Any more and it would get too uncomfortable. Wish it was cheaper.

Old Trapper jerky is better than the others. Unless I make my own, Old Trapper is the tastiest choice for clean great tasting protein source.

I use this as a protein snack. The protein give my hunger down. I wish it had more pepper in it but everyone in the family can eat it as is.
