wow! So much black pepper! It was too much for me, but I am not a hard core black pepper eater. This felt like having peppercorns in my mouth. Once I wiped off what I could with my hands, the meat was perfection and the rest of the flavorings were supreme- I WILL 100% buy the brand again!! I’ll just go with a different flavor. Great job, Old Trapper!

This is the best deal on jerky around. Not too sweet, the pepper keeps you from overdoing it so it’s good for grazing. If I had all the capacity in the world I would simple make an insane amount of biltong instead but for big box store bought protein this is the way to go!

I noticed the extra large package and I really love beef jerky. This is my usual source of protein when I'm on the road, we ride motorcycles and travel a lot so this works to be a perfect source of protein. I like the flavor and the quality It has a good pepper, and some pieces are a bit on a tough side but I quite enjoy that for regular beef jerky.

My husband loves this beef jerky. Good for long days in the car or tractor. A little protein boost. Not too tough to chew. The pepper flavor adds a little punch to the first bite.

Perfect texture and flavor. I have tried many types/brands of beef jerky and this is one of my favorites. I would recommend.

Just more that a bit too peppery for my taste to the point of burning. But the quality of the product itself is the best of the jerkys out there. I like to leave a few pieces out of the packet for a day or two to dry more. Much nicer.

The Old Trapper is peppered flavor, the family size comes in an 18 ounces package. The flavor is sweet, given the brown sugar listed as an ingredient, total carbohydrates is 6 grams per 1 ounce. The same 1 ounce provides 11 grams of protein. I found the sweetness overpowering. The pepper flavor comes un the after taste. I would prefer less sweetness.

It would be good if you LIKE Pepper! Heavy heavy pepper. So much so that you can’t taste the beef. I’m sure some folks like it but definitely not for me.
