I've used Gillette razors in the past, but went in search of a more reasonably priced product. After using both Dollar Shave Club and Harry's, I went back to Gillette. There's really no comparison. The weight and quality of the razor itself and the closeness of the shave is excellent. But one aspect that is sometimes missed within the industry is how effeciently the blades rinse free from hair and lotion. This razor gets very high marks from me in this area. I ended up spending quite a bit more time with the other razors trying to get clean blades. This is a quality product. Definitely worth a couple extra bucks over the inferior competitors models.

First, I think this overall is a good razor and stayed sharp for a good amount of time. A little background - I am a 3 day per week shaver and I shave my head and face. I shave my head by choice, so its quite a lot of hair that is being shaved during each session. The Gillette ProShield lasted me about 5 full shaves before becoming dull. I could probably get 7 shaves out of it before becoming painful. The new strip definitely made a difference and has added comfort to the shave. Much more smooth going through the shaving cream, and even going against the grain on the first attempt instead of with. Flexball is another added advantage. Over 4.25 out of 5 and I would probably buy again.

That usually means I have to shave just about everyday causing me to have some skin irritation and break outs. I am def impressed with Gillette Fusion® ProShield™ Manual Razor with FlexBall™ Technology. Not only can I skip a few days in between shaves because it gives me such a close clean shave, the shave gel also helps with my skin irrataion and break outs. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been a couple weeks since I received the Fusion ProShield Razor for free in the mail from Gillette to try out and review as part of the BzzAgent program, and I really like it. A little about me: If you want to know how this performs on the chin, you'll need to read a different review. Instead, I like keeping my head completely bald and my neck completely clean, with a trimmed little beard running down my jawline to give more prominence to my chin. What this means is, I tested the razor mainly on my scalp and on my neck. First, scalp: The "ball" mechanism is great if you use a razor on your scalp. It makes shaving there a little more forgiving, because the blade automatically adjusts to a good angle to shear off the hair without any messy accidents. Before getting this razor, I had mostly given up on this endeavor and was stuck using the shortest blades on my Oster Classic 76 to keep my head almost bald. Now it's as smooth as a baby's. I will definitely buy a refill of cartridges for this purpose alone. Five stars for scalp. Second, neck: I actually prefer cheaper razors for my neck with less flexibility. Why? Because I can see my neck pretty easily in the mirror and am used to shaving it with a more rigid blade without a problem. Also, maintaining the straight hairline along my jaw and chin is actually easier with an inflexible blade system. Four stars for neck. I recognize however that the particulars about how I shave my neck are simply not applicable to many guys, and the flexibility this blade gives around the chin is probably just as great as it is on the scalp, so I would encourage you to to try it if it's in your budget. And if you shave your scalp, and I really like you, I might just get you this for your birthday. -Jordan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Gilette fusion ProShield razor with flexball technology for free from Gilette to try out a couple weeks ago. This is my 2nd time reviewing this product. It came with 2 cartridges and I am still on the first one. So my not only is it a very good shave, it can also save money on blade replacements because the blades are very durable and stand up to multiple shaves before having to be replaced. I have had no issues with irritation which is great because i have very sensitive skin. I can not say enough good things about this razor and this will be my razor of choice going forward

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gillette sent me the new Proshield Razor to try . I thought maybe just another gimmick but that was not the case . This razor was smooth with the two lubricating strips in any direction I pulled! This is definitely an "edge" on the competition as Gillette has delivered consistently over the years. The new shaving gel dispenser as well has a new twist that eliminates the old mess associated with the old design and locks with the same twist. I love both and will continue to use .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited when I first got this product. However after using it I prefer the previous model. The Flex Ball Still works great but I think the extra moisturizer strip is a waste. Anytime I would put this on my bathroom counter the yellow moisturizer would rub off on the counter (and sometimes stain the counter). Also the blades feel like they don't feel like they get as close to my skin compared to other fusion razors. I think this product is a good idea but I think it still needs some improvement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What would I want to know before I get this product? Well, that's pretty simple. The first thing that comes to mind is how much are refill razor cartridges and what's the blade's longevity? Because ultimately, this is what consumers are worried about - how much more am I going to have to pay to continue to use this product. I'll admit, the refills aren't cheap. However, I've used a similar product for almost a year before having to replace the razor blade. Now, one must also realize that depends on the frequency of shaving as well. I currently only shave about twice a week.

I have personally used a lot of razors over the years and this Gillette Razor is near the top of my favorites list. The sleek design will draw your eye directly towards the Razor. Only concern I have with the packaging is that there are some sharp edges that may cause cuts. Once you finally use this razor there is no looking back. Very close shave to the skin without any pulling . The multi blade edges cut the facial hair with ease. I would highly recommend this razor to anyone.
