[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought I would post a second followup review of the Gillette Fusion Proshield Manual Razor after using it for the last three weeks. When I received this razor from Gillette, I was very excited to use something other than the standard disposable razor. The build of the razor is of high quality and, as I mentioned in my original review, it provides an extremely close shave with no irritation. I felt compelled to right this second review to add a small clarification. During my daily rush to work, I was frantically attempting to shave and, in my hurry, I used a standard 3 blade disposable razor as I was in a different bathroom than where I kept the Fusion ProShield razor. This disposable razor also had a small lubrication strip, but I was instantly taken back by the irritation I got after using a razor that wasn't the Fusion ProShield. After three weeks of fairly constant use, I have found that my neck is smoother (I normally keep a beard) and I don't suffer from any typical razor burn after long periods of time. The ProShield blade is remarkable resilient after nearly a month's use and the ProShield lubrication has held up remarkably well over this period of time. I can't imagine using another manual razor that does not irritate my skin and holds up through constant use. Gillette has a real winner with this manual razor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved the razor for free from Gillette to review it. I had the Gillette pro glide already and really like it. The flexball technology is use full it helps the blade conform to your fave better, but I found that my pro-glide razor provides a closer shave than the pro-sheild. Also the pro-sheild razor has more drag than the pro-glide. I think the best compromise would be using the flexball with pro-glide blades.

Compared to other disposable razors I find the Fusion line to be far superior. I get about 1 months use out of them (shaving every day) sometimes more. They provide a nice smooth shave and few nicks. The single trimming razor I find a must for accurate trimming. Compared to the older Fusion razors it's only a slight improvement. The shave is slightly smoother, but barely noticeable. The Flexball technology I find to have no noticeable difference between this and a standard Fusion handle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to arrive this free razor from Gillette as I've been using the same razor for years, which is the Gillette Fusion Power. I really liked the idea of the ball as it allows for more movement around the curvy areas of my face and especially under my chin. The only caveat with that is that it didn't get quite as close as my old razor possibly due to the pivoting movement of the blade. It therefore felt like a slightly less smooth shave, but it's barely noticeable. Overall I will continue to use the Gillette Fusion ProShield with Flexball as I really like how flexible it was.

At first I didn't want to used it it looked to awesome Lol. The thing that got me when I used it was the clean shave all over tight edges it a all exclusive state of the art technology built in lubricant for longer use durable constructed to last with the interchangeable cartridges sold separately but my kit came with 2 extra for longer used. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gillette was nice enough to send me their Fusion ProShield Razor along with a can of their latest shave gel in exchange for an honest review. Now that I have been using it for a couple of months, here are the important points: 1. Easy to open. They perforated the plastic packaging so I could open it with my bare hands - seems really obvious, but clearly the competitors haven't gotten the message yet. 2. It works with your existing Gillette Fusion razor system (razors and handles are interchangeable). 3. It is better (slightly). The two main improvements over other Gillette razors are a) it has those moisturizing strips before AND after the blades, so shaving is a little more pleasant and b) it has a "flexball" so it is easier to shave the contours of your face. 4. I work from home, so my shaves are all different - different times of day, sometimes daily, sometimes shaving a week of stubble or more. This razor doesn't care. It can handle any length of stubble. One other thing - the new Gillette shave gel is awesome. Why? Because the bottom of the can is plastic, so it won't leave rust-rings on my bathroom counter. Seems obvious, but Gillette seems to be the only one with a plastic shave gel container.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great shaver. It shaves close to my skin. With this product I don't get break outs nearly as much as previous shavers. The shave gel works great leaves my sensitive skin feeling fresh. I've used this for a week now and have nothing but praise for this shaver.

I tried both manual razors and I found that the ProGlide is superior to the ProShield. I use the razors to shave my head and I found that the lubricating strips wear down faster than the other razor also the micro comb on the ProShield irritates my skin and gives the shave a coarser feel. It actually feels like I have to take more strokes to get a better shave than the ProGlide.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this item as a free sample for my candid review. The first thing I noticed is how the razor sits nicely in my hand. It's balanced well and easy to hang on to during my shave. The flexball technology went against everything I thought I knew about shaving. Initially I was used to altering the position of the razor and my grip to manage my facial curves so it took me a little while to realize that with just the right amount of pressure applied, the blade and shields pivot to get a close shave at every angle. Here's what I couldn't get used to: the blades felt thinner than any razor I've ever used. They felt flimsy against my coarse manly beard hairs and if I was shaving body hair it just didn't rinse out between the blades as well as some of my other razors with thicker blades. Interestingly, it was my wife who ended up loving this razor. She liked using it on her legs, underarms, and bikini area because the flexball allowed it to followed her curves without needing to reposition her grip and made for a faster shave with zero nicks due to the ProShield. Also, the thinner blades gave her a closer shave and had no trouble removing her finer hairs. For now, I'll probably stick with my Gillette Fusion Proglide.

I recieved this in the mail this morning for Free! This razor came in a box saying happy 18th birthday. After using many other razors previously I can say this is the best razor you can get. I wouldn't recommend any other razor. I will definitely recommend this razor to all of my friends and family.
