I have been a Gillette user for years now and I didn't think they could out-do themselves after the Fusion Pro Glide Power. The Fusion Flex Ball is amazingly better. It literally glides across my face, no matter how many days I haven't shaved. And the best part.....NO MORE INGROWN HAIRS. I never really had irritation with any Gillette product, and the same holds true with the Flexball Razor. Definitely a MUST TRY. I have used it 5 times already and the blades are still as smooth and sharp as the first shave. I can foresee buying less cartridge refills for this razor.

I received a free razor to try in exchange for this review. I had a preconceived notion that the flexball was a marketing gimmick. I think I was right. The blade was sharp and smooth, as expected from a Gillette razor. However, the flexball took away a little bit of control. I actually missed a spot on the back of my head one morning, despite going over it twice. I think the flexball rotated the blade the wrong way. I would recommend the standard Gillette Fusion instead. For me, I will stick with my DE safety razor.

I would normally have some razor burn present on my face but this product has eliminated that issue. The flexball eliminates the need to repeatedly shave the same area since it follows the contour of my face so well. The straight razor, on the back of the blade, works well at controlling my unruly sideburns.

I will start off that it is a very nice design and handy razor. It has enough blades to get a nice close shave and the flexball tech is very nice going over the chin line and contour of your face. I really like the precision blade on the other side of razor to help groom facial hair and line yourself up. All in all it does it's job with little extra perks. I happy with it.

When I received the product for free from Gillette I was really excited! I really love the flex ball, it really gets the spot under the jaw line. I occasionally get razor bumps so I have to be careful when and how I shave. The Pro-shield really doesn't pull the hair like I expected and cuts the hairs deep.

I've been using Gillette for years and this new design is very impressive. The Flexball technology is an incredible improvement to a traditional razor. Simple, good looking and a great shave. Very impressed with the build of the razor, heavy duty metal handle and the Flexball seems like it will stand the test of time. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette Fusion with Flexball is a hard product to review, mainly because I have some good things to say as well as a lot of bad things. First the good: it's a hefty, well built razor that feels like it has quality craftsmanship and is worth the $11 price tag. The five razors on the main cutting head were sharp and gave me a passable shave the first five times I used it. It also surprised me in that it was able to handle me shaving my head with it, a no-no for average >3 blade razors. Now the bad: after about 5 shaves in about 2 weeks, I noticed a dropoff in the sharpness of the 5 main blades. And, being that there are so many blades close together, they really tug your hair when they get the least bit dull. Also, the head of the razor is completely rigid, meaning no flex in the middle of the razor head, so there's a lot of razor off your face at a time meaning a longer shaving process. Not a bad point but a point of confusion: I have no idea what the flex ball is for. I shave in short straight lines with the grain of my facial hair. From what I can tell, the Flexball is only used if you shave in a serpentine pattern. Who shaves like that? For the life of me I cannot figure out the purpose of the flexball other than to look "high tech" and never once did the flexball even move while I was shaving. The shaving lotion that came with the razor was superb, clean smelling and lubricating. In the end, the Gillette Fusion with Flexball is the same product I swore I'd never buy anymore of 10 years ago, and the only difference is they've added on a useless gimmick. It'll give you a decent shave for a few times, but then you'll have to buy their exorbitantly priced refills for a semi-decent shave. I'll be sticking with my off brand, disposable, 3 bladed razors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this razor free from gillette as a reviewer. I shave for my job no less than 5 days a week and used a mach 3 before receiving this razor. The overall look and feel of the razor is nice and quality with 5 blades. My beard is light to medium, and the blades are overkill for my type. This is a razor made for heavy, coarse hair and is not a fit for me. As soon as the blades initially cut through my growth it feels to dig in my skin. Again this is a nice razor but unless you have a thick beard or only shave a few times a month it will be too much. I will not be using the razor anymore as it gives me constant cuts with my hair not needing the additional blades.

Just completed my first shave with the Pro Shield and I couldn’t be more impressed. You don’t feel a single thing while using, yet I just got the cleanest shave I’ve gotten in years.
