I have only tried the hickory smoked and my wife and I really enjoy it when I make it. What ever you do don't change the way you process it. Our grocery only carries the hickory, I may be on a hunt to other stores for your other bacon. We live in Minneapolis but I was raised in Iowa, I know good bacon from a butcher !!

This is the absolute best bacon on the planet. I tried to quit Wrights, and flirted with Oscar for a bit, but it just didn't do it for me. So, I came back. It's me and Wrights, until the end of time~or until Sam's decide they wanna stop selling the product. Even with the price increase, no other bacon will do! Treat Yo' Self!

What is happening! I have been a Wright Bacon customer for many years, but the quality is not consistent. I recently bought a three pound pack and it is TERRIBLE! One end of the slice burns while the other end is not even fully cooked. I normally buy the smaller package but walmart was out of that size.

We decided to try this bacon because it was a decent price. However, once we got it home and cooked it there were small bones still in the meat. Not a great surprise when you aren't expecting it. Now we have to inspect it and cut the bones out before we cook it. Which is just bothersome and something we shouldn't have to do. It still taste good but the bones have turned us off for repurchase.

I would give it 5 stars for quality, but the packaging stinks. Got 2.5 lbs on one side and 1.5 lbs. on the other side. How about packaging it into 4 separate 1 lb. packages like most companies do. Had to repackage it as I don't eat 2.5 lbs. at one time.

My family loves Wrights thick cut bacons. They go very well on sandwiches and burgers and perfect on its own. My kids especially like the thicker cut, which is tastier and crunchier than the usual thin cuts. I would definitely buy this again in the future. Highly recommend

I have previously recommended this bacon to everyone because it was thick and it tasted like old fashion hickory smoked bacon. Every time I have purchased recently it gets worse. Today was the end of me wasting hard earned money on paper thin, tasteless strips of fat. My health will thank me, so Wright did me a favor.

All though i like all Wright's Brand, i love their Hickory Smoked the best. Real smoke, not too strong, just 'wright'. And, not thin or over thick like others. Next time America's Test Kitchen TV show should compare Wright Brand Bacon too. The only thing negative about the Hickory is that it is never is stock because it is always sold out!

If you are tempted to buy a cheaper brand because it "looks" just as good as Wright's, you WILL be bitterly disappointed! I made this mistake one time when the grocer was out of Wrights. I bought what should have been a very acceptable and comparable product that was locally made, hickory smoked and thick cut, but it turned out to be horrible! Now, I make the extra effort to seek out Wright's, else I just do without until I can find it. Sure, over the years, I've seen product quality issues with Wright's just like one sees with all market brands no matter the product, but, Wright's always seems to recover quickly and returns to their high quality bacon we all know and love! It is not a case of more often than not, it is a case of issues being the rare exception, while consistent quality is the rule! I love the resealable packaging too! Be sure to cook it in an iron fry pan, the way God intended, so you can save the grease for a tasty addition to other dishes, like fried or scrambled eggs, or for the best tasting fried chicken you ever ate! I even fry catfish in it! Delicious!

I have been eating bacon for years, and I heard Guy Fierreri say start bacon in a cold skillet. Wow!! Wright bacon started in a cold skillet comes out so pretty, And I love crispy bacon so I cook it longer, and its wonderful, it pretty and delicious. It doesn't cook up either like though thinner cuts of bacon. Its a great pack of bacon, every strip is the same; delicious!!!
