Right bacon for the right price. Wright is right!

I like the thickness and the Length of the weight brand bacon. It fries well and tastes great. We have to drive about 75 miles to get to Sam’s Cub to get it. Well worth the drive. That’s why we buy 4 packs at a time when we are able to get to Sam’s.

Great product when available

I’ve been buying this for over 30 years, and every so often someone new must come into corporate & decide to get rid of it, so they can sell their inferior product. Then they’ll bring it back & the cycle repeats.

Worth splurging on for sure

Definitely some of the best bacon I’ve ever had. But more importantly, some very picky eaters in my family, for whom bacon is a rare consistent source of sustenance, were over the moon for it, even though this fancier bacon did not look like their usual stuff.

Great bacon typically, but this pack needed salt

I have been buying only this brand for years. I have noticed that it cooked differently now though and the salt that is typically used in curing of it is not there. I believe they have changed and cut some corners....not liking that. And sometimes it's not very smokey tasting..... but it's still good bacon so far.

Keep Brand Name Products

The bacon is no longer Wright's but amembers Mark. NOT THE SAME TO ME! I'd prefer to buy the brand name of items that I trust rather than Member's Mark. Many MM items add cheaper ingredients or things I don't want. I understand this is the way Sams does business to provide lower prices. But I trust the brand name more for the long run and don't feel like I must keep my eye on it every time I make a purchase. This is often the case. Sams did the same thing with Smartfood popcorn and I bought the MM brand a couple of times wasting my money and time. The MM product was inferior to the Smartfood popcorn. Specifically, when an item is a cooked product you cannot always tell without diligence. I used to buy quality brand refrigerated meatballs, now only MM is available. They are lesser quality and not as tasty. I know Publix has moved to private label brands the similarly over the years, but MM doesn't keep the quality. I'd rather you keep the brand name product on the shelf.

Not up to Wright Brand usual quality

Unfortunately, the package of Wright Thick Cut Bacon I recently purchased from Sam's Club didn't live up to my expectations. As a frequent purchaser of Wright Thick Cut Bacon from Sam's Club as well as grocery stores (Publix, Kroger, Meijer), I always appreciate the quality and consistency of Wright products. However, my most recent purchase from Sam's Club was very fatty and oddly cut. In one of the 2-lb. packages, the slices were about 8.5" long and 3" wide. Normally, the slices are around 10" long x 2" wide and the fat is more evenly distributed. I really think this was a rare quality control issue but I'll be much more scrutinizing in the future when I purchase the Wright Thick Cut Bacon in a 4 lb. package.

Quality and Thickness Compromised

I will not be buying this bacon anymore. The quality and thickness of it has changed tremendously yet the price has increased.

Spoiled upon purchase

One package was not vacuum sealed properly and already spoiled when purchased. The use by date was Sep 20, 2025. There was no damage to the packaging.

Diisappointed

It was past the expiration date. Wright is the best but spoils quickly. I am not happy that the shoppers do not check the dates and that management doesn't make sure there are no outdated foods.

Expired bacon on the shelf.

The expiration date on the package was July 2025. I purchased the bacon October 2025. I did not notice the expiration date until I got home. I have to drive all the way back to the store to exchange the expired package. Why would you have bacon on the shelf that is more than 90 days old?
