Good bacon but way too expensive at $4.74/lb. Average recovery weight of cooked bacon is 25-30%. Rest is lost in fat in the pan. At 30% recovery cooked this bacon equates to around $14.22/ lb cooked. Or around the same price as USDA choice fillet mignon. Hmm. What's in your skillet?

We used to buy this bacon exclusively and loved it. Unfortunately, we’ve had to switch to buying something else. The freshness started getting less and less. The last time, we bought it on a Sunday and by Thursday it was gray/green and spoiled. We always keep it in the coldest part of our fridge and it used to keep for weeks. Now it doesn’t even last days.
