Fantastic Tv for cinematic viewing
Upon receiving the tv the sheer enormity of the box in my living room made me think, is this tv going to be too big. Once unpacking it was clear how secure the tv is in its robust packaging and that the tv was the perfect size for my room. Its slim profile allows it to fit well onto my raised stand making it look like it floats above the TV unit. The ultra-thin bezel makes the screen appear almost borderless, will give it that “in the movie” type feel. Upon switching on the setup is intuitive and easy and the tv was up and running in less than 10 minutes. All the smart apps are there like i expected and the magic remote is a dream to use. I have had an LG TV with a magic remote in the past and this new one has a way better feel and usability. The first movie we watched was Mad Max: Furiosa and wow the colours and deep blacks blew me away and this was with out of the box settings. I had to calibrate my previous TV, but this one is awesome immediately. The only change i made was to turn the true motion off, but that is a personal preference. Other than that for me the picture is out of this world. Sound quality is good, but like all TV’s not as good as it is with a sound bar or speaker system. But it again is way better than my previous TV. There are so many features and things to play with you could sit and play for hours. The phone app is also a Great addition allowing me to control tv with my iPhone and also register warranty etc. Gaming on my console is also fantastic on Game optimisation mode. Dolby vision colour, no lag. Full screen video. Tremendous. Apple mirror is also seamless, you can get youtube on your phone, pick the video you want and then stream it to the tv, without even using tv remote. All in all this is the best TV i have ever seen and it looks amazing in my living room. I cant wait to start watching all my 4K Blu-ray’s again. Can’t recommend this tv highly enough it is top spec.
The C4 Magic Pointer is Just Terrible
This TV forces this "Magic Pointer" on you and you cannot turn it off. It is beyond frustrating and yet another example of a tech company providing a feature that nobody asked for but forces everyone to use. I have tried every trick I could find online and nothing has worked. It is unbelievably annoying considering how much money I paid for this TV. I'm the kind of person that will go the rest of my life without ever buying an LG product again over something so obnoxious. The picture on the TV is incredible though, so if you don't mind an overly clunky and counterintuitive UI, then this TV will probably be okay for you.

100% Plug and Play
There was a sharp intake of breath when the TV was delivered, its big! We was initially nervous about handling it and fitting on the wall - we needn't have been, it was super easy and not as heavy as anticipated - truly plug and play. Thought had also gone into the positions of the sockets in the rear, and the side for the HDI cables etc.... Easily accessible. Very minimum setup, plugged the TV in and updated the system and the apps. Time from unpacking disconnecting original TV to being sat down with the new TV fully setup watching our fantastic early Christmas present no more than 1.5 hours. The sound is superb, we found the sound better on the TV than our soundbar, the interface on the home screen is intuitive and easy to use, picture quality exceptional. The big USP's for me was; Plug & Play User friendly home screen and interface Sound quality Picture quality Sockets on side of TV in addition to the rear
Best OLED TV’s on the market
This is our second LG OLED television and it’s even better than the previous one. LG has the clearest display of any of the current OLED TV’s. The clarity, the brilliant colors, even when viewed from an angle, makes the LG OLED TV’s the best on the market.
Hi, there. We appreciate you taking a moment to share your thoughts on the LG TV (OLED65C4AUA) model. It’s wonderful to hear that your second LG OLED is delivering an even better experience. The LG OLED65C4AUA is known for its exceptional clarity, brilliant color accuracy, and impressive contrast, and its ability to maintain that picture quality even at wide viewing angles is one of the reasons it stands out among today’s OLED TVs. Another knockout OLED TV from LG
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a long term owner of LG OLED TV's (C7, C1, G2 and now this C4), I can confidently say that LG have done it again. The only real issue with these OLED TV's is that they make any other TV look broken in comparison! The killer feature is the absolute black levels and picture quality, but LG also knock it out of the park in terms of features and interface. Four full speed 2.1 HDMI inputs, all the wireless inputs you would want. The best App availability and HDR picture compatibility of any manufacturer. The promise of long term OS updates is a feature that could easily be overlooked, but is going to give the G4 excellent longevity. Any negatives? Adverts should not be turned on by default on the home screen - but all brands pull tricks like that. It's approaching 10 years of the same remote design and it's not the most premium looking thing given that it is for a top tier TV.
Amazing Quality
After using this for a week I am really amazed by its quality. This TV integrates seamlessly with smart home devices, with Alexa and Google Assistant built-in, making it easy to control with your voice. The design is another highlight. The thin bezel gives it a modern look, and even though it’s a 77-inch screen, it doesn’t feel bulky. The picture quality is excellent The combination of Quantum Dot and NanoCell technology really brings the colors to life, they’re vibrant and rich, and the brightness is impressive, even in a bright room. The Full Array Local Dimming does wonders for contrast, making dark scenes look deep and realistic. While it’s not quite at OLED-level for the absolute darkest blacks, it’s really close. The 4K UHD resolution ensures everything is super sharp, especially when watching 4K content on streaming. Even standard HD channels look better than they did on my old TV, thanks to the excellent upscaling. The HDR support adds even more depth to the visuals, making bright and dark scenes pop. Switching between apps, live TV, and inputs is smooth and intuitive, and the magic remote with its point-and-click feature makes it even simpler. It supports Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode and both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync. Gaming has been a dream, no lag, smooth graphics, and stunning visuals in 4K with HDR. Overall, is an excellent TV that offers high-end features without being overly complicated. Whether you’re watching movies, gaming, or streaming shows, it delivers outstanding performance. The picture quality is fantastic, the interface is smooth, and the ability to connect Bluetooth headphones is a big plus. If you’re looking for a TV that’s easy to use and performs exceptionally well, I highly recommend it.
Faulty 65inch C4, with no resolution in sight
Brought 65inch C4 in Nov 24, but since i have had it the screen goes black, but audio still plays. I spoke with LG in January, who after a bit of back and forth requested a repair. Repair was completed in March, but the issue was not resolved. I currently have a very expensive TV that is not fit for purpose and there is resolution in sight.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review I would like to reassure you that LG is currently aware of this issue that you have reported and working on a fix. The latest update is that LG is currently data logging this issue and hoping to have an update very shortly. I apologise for the delays and inconvenience but we do hope to have some updates on this issue shortly. Regards
Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!
One word describes this purchase, WOW! I've had older LG tv's in the past but this is on another level, from the design to the Web OS platform on the tv, everything is simple and easy to get you going. Unboxing process has been improved since previous gens of the OLED range with a new eco friendly packaging being added, removing was once again really easy and mounting the TV took minutes. Set up can be done on the TV itself or with a smart phone using the LG app - again took minutes to get up and running and content was on within 5 minutes. Out of the box settings are pretty accurate but always can be adjusted to suit the user, which I have done for different sources. Gaming is again fantastic and all next gen consoles working flawlessly in UHD, with Dolby Vision and buttery smooth input lag thanks to the in built game mode coming to the party! Software update was run on the tv to ensure everything was up to date from out the box, again simple to do and very user friendly. Overall, a very happy purchase from me, big thumbs up from me and my partner - we had our first movie night Friday night and was blown away - the picture in dolby vision was incredible and blows our local cinema out the window. We'll be looking forward to more movie nights and the upcoming football season starting, along with the rest of the sporting calendar. Anyone on the fence about making the switch to OLED, don't even hesitate, get involved and get ordering - you won't look back!
Stunning TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with my purchase! When the TV arrived, the LG team installed our TV onto the mount, which is a very convenient service. Setting up the TV was easy, LG take you through step by step on the screen. The functions of the TV is super. It has smart TV options and Alexa search which is very handy. The TV's screen pixel and colour is stunning. The picture quality enhances your experience. Its picture is bright, crisp and clear. The sound is average, but this is forgiven with the picture performance. The TV itself it thin and sits nicely against the wall. Its appearance is very elegant. We have placed this near a window in our house and the anti reflection is good. It also doesn’t seem to matter where you watch from in the room as the picture remains the same at all angles. There are 4 HDMI ports which is always handy. Overall this is a splendid TV produced by a reputable manufacturer.
LG TV OLED65C4
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a few days with the new LG C4 OLED and I am now ready to give my initial impressions. The last LG model I had was the C2 so I only have this to compare it to. If you like your TVs ultra thin then this might be the tv for you, using a tape measure this tv at its narrowest point is only 1/4 inch thick and at its widest about 1.8 inches, it just looks stunning. One thing I did notice when putting the Tv together is that the power cable is permanently attached this shouldn’t be a problem but it something to consider if you are wall mounting you TV as you will have to route the cable first. Round the back this time it has all the usual connections but now has 4 HDMI ports which all appear to be HDMI 2.1 this is great if you have more than one games console to connect. Where as before you had to swap the connectors out when using a PS% and XBOX to get the best picture out of them. The first thing you notice when you turn this tv on is the brightness, It so much lighter and visible in a bright room. If you have and sort of direct sunlight on the screen it doesnt really cause any problems. I believe this TV has over 1000 nits of brightness which is fantastic for this type of tv placement. Booting up the tv and the new Webos the new interface its very well organised and navigation friendly offering neatly organised tiles in a familiar but defiantly improved OS. The remote hasn’t changed much if at all but it’s still easy to use and well labelled up with the usual quick buttons to the popular apps. The picture when watching content from Netflix or Disney in Dolby Vision or HDR is as ever fantastic, the colours are rich and vibrant and just look fantastic on this TV. The only thing missing is HDR 10+ but I don’t think that will bother too many people. Another good thing is it doesn’t seem to matter where you sit in the room the picture remains perfect and the same the viewing angle is great. The sound has had a bit of an upgrade but as with most flat tv’s the sound is never great. LG has definitely put some work into the new tv as the sound is clear and has a decent enough bass but it’s not close to how good a separate soundbar sounds. The E-arc connection to the soundbar works perfectly without issue and goes through all the formats Dolby Atmos , DTS etc without any problems what so ever. If you did need to use the onboard speakers though the sound is ok and more than bearable believe me theres a lot worse out there. Overall this is a stunning TV with the best picture I’ve seen on an OLED and look forward to plonking myself on the couch in front of it.
