Great TV
As someone who previously had a smaller LCD TV, I am extremely happy with my new LG OLED TV. The switch to OLED is a huge improvement in my viewing experience. The picture quality is stunning, with vibrant colours and deep blacks offering unparalleled clarity. It feels like I have a private cinema in my living room. What really stands out, however, is the impressive sound quality of this TV. In addition, I really like the speed of the menus. Navigating through the settings and apps is smooth and without delay, which significantly increases the ease of use. The remote control is also a big plus; it fits comfortably in the hand and the intuitive controls make it easy to quickly switch between different functions and apps.In short, the LG OLED TV has exceeded my expectations and offers an unparalleled viewing and listening experience worth every penny.
Amazing Upgrade
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having been a convert to OLEDs after buying a C1 several years ago decided to upgrade the living room and do the same with the TV Purchased a 65inch C4 and have been amazed by how much has progressed regards screen technology within such a short space of time. Amazing contrasts and depth with astounding colour accuracy can be achieved without doing anything more then selecting different modes... The inclusion of AI algorithms does make a discernible difference to the naked eye and really highlights the improved picture clarity and colour reproduction. Given the increase in size was also amazed to find that the TV was actually lighter then our old C1 and a much more premium backplate is present...it's almost a shame to not have it on display. As an avid gamer the selection of 2.1HDMI offered is a must... Whilst I have added a soundbar the native speakers again are a step up and emersive enough to utilise without additional speakers. Highly recommended!!!!
A Gamer's Dream Machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a tech-savvy student of computer game development, I'm constantly on the lookout for immersive experiences. My quest for the perfect home entertainment system led me to the 65-inch LG OLED evo C4 4K Smart TV, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Here's a breakdown of what makes this TV a winner: The OLED technology truly shines here. Blacks are deeper than a moonless night, while colors explode with vibrancy. Details are razor-sharp, whether you're scrutinizing the intricate stitching on a character's costume or spotting a hidden easter egg in your favorite game. This level of detail makes every scene feel incredibly lifelike. For gamers like myself, the C4 is a dream come true. The 4K resolution paired with the 144Hz refresh rate ensures buttery-smooth gameplay without a hint of lag. Fast-paced action sequences feel incredibly responsive, giving you a competitive edge. Plus, features like Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync eliminate screen tearing, making your gaming experience even smoother. While the C4 excels at gaming, it's not a one-trick pony. Movie nights take on a whole new level with the C4's stunning visuals. Dolby Vision support ensures movies are displayed with the director's intended colors and contrast, creating a truly cinematic experience at home. Even regular TV shows benefit from the C4's picture quality, making them feel more immersive and engaging. The Verdict: An Investment Worth Making The LG OLED evo C4 4K Smart TV isn't the cheapest option on the market. But for those who crave the absolute best in picture quality, immersive experiences, and cutting-edge gaming features, it's an investment worth making. It takes home entertainment to a whole new level, transforming your living room into a portal to stunning visuals and unforgettable experiences.
Fantastic sound and awesome viewing!
When I ordered this C Series I was sceptical if I should I buy another LG OLED tv, as how could they improve such a nice tv. However I did go ahead and buy this LG OLED C4 series and when it did arrive I wasn’t really impressed with the look of the packaging as it didn’t give me much excitement to look at a plain box, it could have been more colourful and printed but I guess to save the environment it came without any colours. After setting up the TV, I realised that the sound quality has improved so much, by this I mean the depth of sound and at low volume it just sounded so loud. Also the picture quality is very impressive too, it just looks crystal clear and there are different presets available for different viewings. The brightness is very good and impressive along with the HDR setting which sets it alight from other tv’s that I’ve used. The viewing angles from the sides is just as impressive as looking from the front as the colours don’t fade. The good thing about this tv is that it has 4 hdmi ports which are all 144 hertz and are good for gamers along with the dashboard that can be used while playing so I could change the settings to suit the game I am playing. The remote for this tv is similar to the previous model I had and it looks too plastic and cheap but it does have good functions as the pointer is helpful when I want to select things and it also has a scrawler along with one touch buttons to some regular apps that I use to watch films. This tv also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos and that makes a lot of difference when watching certain programs and playing games. However there are a few things that I’m not really impressed with that they could have changed from the previous model I had and that was the power cable which is set permanent and can’t be made long so it could be short from your socket and also the ports are all on one side of the tv as before they were split on the back and some on the left side to connect your devices. The rear design of the tv doesn’t feel premium as it has a cement type effect which is very rough and not smooth to touch at all. The remote could have been changed to make it feel more premium such as adding metal or titanium as it feels too plastic and cheap. Since using this tv there are too many updates and it just feels annoying to wait while the tv is updating but at least it feels like the updates will make the experience better so it’s worthwhile doing these frequently. Fantastic tv overall.
Amazing Quality
After using this for a week I am really amazed by its quality. This TV integrates seamlessly with smart home devices, with Alexa and Google Assistant built-in, making it easy to control with your voice. The design is another highlight. The thin bezel gives it a modern look, and even though it’s a 77-inch screen, it doesn’t feel bulky. The picture quality is excellent The combination of Quantum Dot and NanoCell technology really brings the colors to life, they’re vibrant and rich, and the brightness is impressive, even in a bright room. The Full Array Local Dimming does wonders for contrast, making dark scenes look deep and realistic. While it’s not quite at OLED-level for the absolute darkest blacks, it’s really close. The 4K UHD resolution ensures everything is super sharp, especially when watching 4K content on streaming. Even standard HD channels look better than they did on my old TV, thanks to the excellent upscaling. The HDR support adds even more depth to the visuals, making bright and dark scenes pop. Switching between apps, live TV, and inputs is smooth and intuitive, and the magic remote with its point-and-click feature makes it even simpler. It supports Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode and both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync. Gaming has been a dream, no lag, smooth graphics, and stunning visuals in 4K with HDR. Overall, is an excellent TV that offers high-end features without being overly complicated. Whether you’re watching movies, gaming, or streaming shows, it delivers outstanding performance. The picture quality is fantastic, the interface is smooth, and the ability to connect Bluetooth headphones is a big plus. If you’re looking for a TV that’s easy to use and performs exceptionally well, I highly recommend it.
Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!
One word describes this purchase, WOW! I've had older LG tv's in the past but this is on another level, from the design to the Web OS platform on the tv, everything is simple and easy to get you going. Unboxing process has been improved since previous gens of the OLED range with a new eco friendly packaging being added, removing was once again really easy and mounting the TV took minutes. Set up can be done on the TV itself or with a smart phone using the LG app - again took minutes to get up and running and content was on within 5 minutes. Out of the box settings are pretty accurate but always can be adjusted to suit the user, which I have done for different sources. Gaming is again fantastic and all next gen consoles working flawlessly in UHD, with Dolby Vision and buttery smooth input lag thanks to the in built game mode coming to the party! Software update was run on the tv to ensure everything was up to date from out the box, again simple to do and very user friendly. Overall, a very happy purchase from me, big thumbs up from me and my partner - we had our first movie night Friday night and was blown away - the picture in dolby vision was incredible and blows our local cinema out the window. We'll be looking forward to more movie nights and the upcoming football season starting, along with the rest of the sporting calendar. Anyone on the fence about making the switch to OLED, don't even hesitate, get involved and get ordering - you won't look back!
Stunning TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with my purchase! When the TV arrived, the LG team installed our TV onto the mount, which is a very convenient service. Setting up the TV was easy, LG take you through step by step on the screen. The functions of the TV is super. It has smart TV options and Alexa search which is very handy. The TV's screen pixel and colour is stunning. The picture quality enhances your experience. Its picture is bright, crisp and clear. The sound is average, but this is forgiven with the picture performance. The TV itself it thin and sits nicely against the wall. Its appearance is very elegant. We have placed this near a window in our house and the anti reflection is good. It also doesn’t seem to matter where you watch from in the room as the picture remains the same at all angles. There are 4 HDMI ports which is always handy. Overall this is a splendid TV produced by a reputable manufacturer.
LG TV OLED65C4
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a few days with the new LG C4 OLED and I am now ready to give my initial impressions. The last LG model I had was the C2 so I only have this to compare it to. If you like your TVs ultra thin then this might be the tv for you, using a tape measure this tv at its narrowest point is only 1/4 inch thick and at its widest about 1.8 inches, it just looks stunning. One thing I did notice when putting the Tv together is that the power cable is permanently attached this shouldn’t be a problem but it something to consider if you are wall mounting you TV as you will have to route the cable first. Round the back this time it has all the usual connections but now has 4 HDMI ports which all appear to be HDMI 2.1 this is great if you have more than one games console to connect. Where as before you had to swap the connectors out when using a PS% and XBOX to get the best picture out of them. The first thing you notice when you turn this tv on is the brightness, It so much lighter and visible in a bright room. If you have and sort of direct sunlight on the screen it doesnt really cause any problems. I believe this TV has over 1000 nits of brightness which is fantastic for this type of tv placement. Booting up the tv and the new Webos the new interface its very well organised and navigation friendly offering neatly organised tiles in a familiar but defiantly improved OS. The remote hasn’t changed much if at all but it’s still easy to use and well labelled up with the usual quick buttons to the popular apps. The picture when watching content from Netflix or Disney in Dolby Vision or HDR is as ever fantastic, the colours are rich and vibrant and just look fantastic on this TV. The only thing missing is HDR 10+ but I don’t think that will bother too many people. Another good thing is it doesn’t seem to matter where you sit in the room the picture remains perfect and the same the viewing angle is great. The sound has had a bit of an upgrade but as with most flat tv’s the sound is never great. LG has definitely put some work into the new tv as the sound is clear and has a decent enough bass but it’s not close to how good a separate soundbar sounds. The E-arc connection to the soundbar works perfectly without issue and goes through all the formats Dolby Atmos , DTS etc without any problems what so ever. If you did need to use the onboard speakers though the sound is ok and more than bearable believe me theres a lot worse out there. Overall this is a stunning TV with the best picture I’ve seen on an OLED and look forward to plonking myself on the couch in front of it.
Faulty 65inch C4, with no resolution in sight
Brought 65inch C4 in Nov 24, but since i have had it the screen goes black, but audio still plays. I spoke with LG in January, who after a bit of back and forth requested a repair. Repair was completed in March, but the issue was not resolved. I currently have a very expensive TV that is not fit for purpose and there is resolution in sight.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review I would like to reassure you that LG is currently aware of this issue that you have reported and working on a fix. The latest update is that LG is currently data logging this issue and hoping to have an update very shortly. I apologise for the delays and inconvenience but we do hope to have some updates on this issue shortly. Regards
I Can't Believe how clear the picture is!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tv is simply the best hands down! The picture is crisp, clear and the blacks are BLACK! It was easy to install and connect to my input sources. The channels that come with the tv is just icing on the cake. There are many many app options to use and add if you wish. The sound is actually ok for a downward firing system although I did connect to my surround sound system. The remote is easy enough to use and the voice control is awesome. It's pretty cool to get a notification that some is at my door and just bring it up on the tv to see who is there. The streaming works very well and is fast with no delays. The detail you see with the blacks being so black is amazing. Every little detail is clear as a bell. To be honest, when watching a nature program it is darn near like looking out of the window. I am pleased as punch that we got this tv and my wife can't give me grief because she loves it also.
