Ordered the VIZIO 40" Class Full HD 1080p LED Smart TV (New) VFD40M-08 on Fri, 10/11/24 and received asap on Sat 10/12. Boxed well; new; no damage. Only had one snag attaching one of the feet. Was frustrating, time-wise, to get it as secure as the other. Eventually satisfied with moderate fit; posed no problem with the TV standing evenly in-place. Setup was straight-forward and easy. Attached my Roku with no problem. However, the TV is LOADED with Apps that the Roku isn't necessary; am just accustomed to it. Color, sound is good. Overall, needed a new BR TV and the price was very affordable. Satisfied. The pics aren't that good; TV looks fine.

The "feet" are too wide to sit where I need to put on my shelf. The remote does not work. I replaced the batteries, still does not work. There has to be a setting somewhere that has been programed to turn on in the early morning like 4-6 a.m. I have been seriously ill and nòt5v

I've used low-end TVs before and they're typically 'cheap and cheerful' i.e. good value. I wanted this for gaming/PC use, I've used quite a few over the years (some bought used) and they've always been ok. I can't recommend this model however as the picture is so bad; grainy with washed out colors despite spending time with different screen modes and settings. Text is especially bad with blocky fonts having jagged diagonals (see photos, both 40" @ 1080p). Also, the quality (such as it is), deteriorates when even slightly off center to the point where standing right in front of it, the edges are already faded and dim. Watching TV shows and movies is more successful as with a moving image, the defects are less noticeable. The non-picture aspects are fine with responsive BT remote, reasonable sound quality (if you don't crank it up too much) and enough smart features and ports to satisfy most people.

I am greatly dissatisfied with the glitch of this TV. I will be watching a program and the TV goes dark. We have to go back to the Internet interface and start the show all over. I am thinking of returning it. But, I had to pay for installation services.

set requires a credit card in set up. I sure not giving my card number to watch basic tv. I call vizio help line to finish the set up without a card number the man said that he would set it up for me. then he told me that there is a $49.95 fee for all new tv's now for protection on the tv itself. he said i could not watch it until i paid the $49.95 fee. so i sent it back and bought a little bigger tv. guess what there was no card request and i am watching tv. was a different brand though.

Bought a Vizio because they’re suppose to be the best brand. It skips and lags, has trouble picking up the remote. We know it’s not the wifi because there’s no problems with our other TVs and this one is closest to the wifi. Disappointed to say the least.

I bought this for my bedroom and I love it. The sound is perfect and I love all of the free channels it offers. The only issue I have is the picture quality which is ok, but it would be better if it was more vibrant. Set-up was easy as well. Overall I'm glad I bought it.

Great TV’s. My second one I’ve purchased for my son’s room. Tons of included apps and channels to watch!! Picture looks great too. Just a personal preference but I wish it had an Ethernet port instead of just WiFi. TV is located in not the best spot for a WiFi signal just have to wait slightly longer for things to load. Not an issue by any means just a personal opinion.

I set it all up connected everything got all comfortable on the sofa turned on the tv and eas enjoying the program when all of a sudden the Tv fell forward. the top hit the floor and the bottom was still hanging on to tv stand. i could not find any reason for it to fall. everything was tight on it,ot was sitting in the middle of the stand. i live alone. i can't explain it. o hadn't even paid the first note st that time. i sure didn't think anyone would believe me.
