You gradually step down in amount over the course of time.  I think as with any bad habit the first couple of weeks are the hardest. It has a pleasant mint taste making it super easy to take. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great aid for quitting smoking. I love the smaller size in comparison to the regular size lozenges. The bigger lozenges kind of tear up the roof of my mouth when I use them a lot, but these are small enough that I can use them up to the maximum allowable dosage and they don't hurt my mouth at all. I also really enjoy the Cherry flavor of these mini lozenges versus the Mint flavor of the larger lozenges. Don't get me wrong - there's absolutely nothing wrong with Mint. I just prefer this Cherry flavor. As far as their ability to actually help me quit smoking, I was able to seriously cut back on my nicotine intake thanks to these lozenges. If you are looking to quit smoking, i definitely recommend giving these a try.

The Cherry Ice flavor is very good, compared to the flavor of some other quit-smoking products. There is a bit of a "bite" to the after-taste, but it's reasonable.
