Unfortunately this brand is not compatible with other brand or Alexa apps. Worst of all you MYST have a google account and it DIES not even work with their own app!!

It connects with my phone so I can see whoever shows up at my door with a very clear picture on my phone. I gave it 4 stars because you need a little computer/phone savvy, but it was well worth it.

Simple video instructions you don't have to be terribly tech smart also found a number of sites on YouTube. I hardwired connected mine, so I not only see through the camera, but my home chimes go off when somebody rings. I recommend using the “wedge”mounting plate, it seems to provide a better angle of the stairs and walkway. It would be nice to have more video time…. I think they give you 3 hours without a subscription.

When i first opened the box , i was taken back from the size of this doorbell and was wondering if i will even fit. The installation process was easy, a little too easy. I got the doorbell to fix but hooking it on the backet took some time. My installathe battery setup. I kept the default settings on the app and the clarity of the camera is fantastic. I do feel like this is an upgrade over the previous Nest Hello doorbell largely due to the on-device biometrics. It's very impressive how quickly it can pickup a known face (almost instantly). The vehicle notifications are also very handy. Allows me to keep the motion alerts category of notifications off which provides a much quieter experience in terms of notifications. The video quality is just ok, but good enough for a doorbell. If you are looking for a doorbell this is the one. So far the device has been working great for me and consistently giving me alerts, usually within 3-5 seconds of the event. I definitely recommended this to anyone. A great product all round!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a awesome doorbell with camera.You have live view 24/7 with talk and hear.You can see clear in the dark as well.Doorbell chime is loud so I can hear.It was pretty easy to set up no wiring. Now I can monitor everyone who comes to my door. And feel safe.

While this doorbell has good camera quality, it dies extremely fast. We have to recharge it sometimes twice a week, and if it gets cold, it dies even faster. This is something that they do not tell you we have called them for support and to no avail they do not offer support for this doorbell battery issue. In fact we have gone on vacation and the camera has died whilst we're on vacation. We do like the camera features and the compatibility to hook it up with our Google system, and I know people hook it up to their Alexa's as well, and the Google Home app as well designed, but at the end of the day, I do not know if this is the best doorbell camera.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This doorbell is so high tech and visible.This doorbell has all features needed to see alert you of what's going on at your property.I see a clear picture of people entering my front porch.The porch pirates will be seen on the camera. I love how the doorbell allows me to talk and listen to anyone or noise that comes by.The night vision on this doorbell is very good . I would recommend this doorbell be installed by someone knowledgeable about tech gadgets so that it will work the way it supposed to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to get this installed and going. Lets start with the build. The construction seems very solid, good material. Camera lens has no protective cover, shouldn't be an issue so long and no one or anything touches it. The "doorbell" button seemed a bit on the unstable side, if a careless person decides to press the button too hard. Still on the fence on this issue. The button can be pressed anywhere and work, however the top and bottom depress further than in the middle and thus seems to be the "weak" point. It comes pre packaged with an angle bracket so you can mount the doorbell on a side wall next to the front door for those tight entry ways. The actual doorbell just slides onto the mounting bracket and can be released by an also prepackaged key way you slide into the top of the unit to release the "set button" holding the unit in place (kind of like the way you release the slide to install a sim card in a phone). Installation: Was a breeze and should be easy for any first timer doing a self install. You can wire it to an existing doorbell, in doing so with allow the doorbell to utilize the current chime box on the inside of your home. The unit comes with 2 wires to connect the existing wires from your already installed doorbell to use the chime unit on the inside. If no current doorbell is installed, don't fret as this can be operated as a standalone unit running on batter power. Estimated operating time on batter power is roughly 2.5 months. This also varies greatly on the amount of use, obviously. Set up: Nest has now become Google so the Nest side is migrating to google. However, you still need to set up a Nest account and migrate it to your existing (or new) Google account. This set up can be a bit of a hassle but is a necessary evil for the use of the doorbell. After setting up your account, you connect the app to the doorbell and enter your wifi password to enable the doorbell access to the network. Use: This unit has good flexibility in way of use. You are able to set up routines, facial recognition, and even recognition for pets. When activated, the doorbell, it send a chime to your phone(s)/device(s) (you are able to connect multiple google accounts to the google home app account to allow access from all those in the home at once). This is a great feature so anyone can (answer) your door. You are able to communicate with the person at the door in real time, which is a great feature. The unit has a "night vision" mode and is actually, to my surprise, very good video quality. Through the app, you can pull up your doorbell camera at any point in time and view in real time the video at your front door regardless if anyone is there or not. The unit will alert any other devices on your google home account when the doorbell/video is activated. I recognizes anyone carrying a box or something that looks like a box as a "package" and alerts you that the package is at your front door and even tells you if it doesn't see the package anymore. This is awesome in the event someone steals your package it'll alert you when it is gone. Cons: It's not known how long Google will keep the use of Nest products in operation. As of now, through my research, I have seen up until and through 2024. I was not thrilled with having to set up a nest account and tie it to my google account to use the unit. This unit CANNOT be used with the Nest app, you have to use the google home app to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After purchasing my new home and building it from ground up, I failed to run a power wire for a doorbell in the rear part of my home for doorbell where there is a door that gies access to the outside/inside. On the front side main door we have a nest doorbell w/camera that is hardwired and we cannot live without it. It was one of the best purchases we've ever made for home security/technology to make our home smart. Then I was able to be notified by Google about their new NEST Doorbell that is battery operated and I was beyond happy. This now saved me so much time and money from having to run a special wire for power to install their hardwired devices. The ease of use and the amazing ease of install for this product is hands down incredible. NEST has always been easy to install which really makes things easier when trying to make your home a smart home. Then you have the integration with Google Home or Amazon Alexa and it announces who is at the door for you. The device is packaged perfectly safe for transit and secure. instructions are very easy to use. All the tools needed are included in the box, just like how all NEST products come. Since this is new to me, I am not sure how long the batteries will last, but I am sure it doesn't require constant changing. What I plan on doing is having rechargeable batteries in the near future and always having a set ready to go as needed. I Highly recommend this product and all other nest products as they are extremely reliable, easy to use, easy to self-install, and their customer support/warranty are fantastic. When I compared these doorbells with camera to Ring's and have asked other family and friends about them, everyone reaches for the NEST. Keep up the great work NEST/Google!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking to upgrade the builder installed doorbell and this Nest doorbell had everything that I was looking for. Although this is battery powered, I decided to make it hard wired, so that I do not have to charge the battery all the time. Since it required some electrical work, I decided to get an electrician to install it for me. We could not use the same place where the old doorbell was installed since the height where the previous one was installed was less and it did not make sense to install a camera doorbell at that height. However, the electrician took care of that and wired it to existing chime. I am finding this doorbell very helpful. I like the idea that I can turn off the chime when I do not want it to ring but the person ringing the doorbell does not know about that. The notifications are very helpful. Overall I think this was a nice upgrade to my old doorbell.
