[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter recently moved to an apartment with an outside main entrance and I thought a doorbell/camera would provide a little extra security and safety. However the apartment was never set up with a doorbell or the needed low voltage power for most security doorbells. I discovered the new Google/Nest doorbell was rechargeable and didn't need any wiring, problem solved. The installation and setup were easy and it connects to her phone and Goggle home device. She is now able to monitor whomever comes to her door whether she is home or away. As her dad it gives me a little peace of mind and was a quick and easy solution. In my installation the product is not really exposed to the outdoor elements directly but it seems to be high quality and would have no problem standing up to the elements.

I followed the on line instruction and it was easy enough to install but didn't work with my old battery chime doorbell, but if you have the nest hub I think that's what it is called it would replace having a doorbell according to the installation instructions. I love that it lets me know that someone is at the door when I am away from home. this was an easy step for me to get caught up on some new tech-knowledge that's been out there for a while

This is an asset to any home and works with Google it's a must have especially when you receive a lot of packages at your door it has real time video monitoring from your phone from anywhere.

Great camera, responsive, the package detection is stellar, voice coms is crystal-clear, and the battery seems endless. One problem, visitors don't seem to know it's a doorbell. Everybody just knocks now. Maybe if the ring light around the button was wider like the old Ring we replaced?

I got the opportunity to get the Google Nest Doorbell, and I am completely satisfied. Super easy to install. Comes with everything you need. You can set up, through the app. Which makes it super convenient. Have to let it charge before installing. Overall. Great picture. Sound. And night vision.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very, very simple to install. Connected easily to my home wifi. It has a great picture and clarity. We are just renting so with it being battery operated, it will be easy to remove and take with us. I like the Google Nest line of products.

We have seen two to five minute delays and notifications of someone pressing the doorbell, and after calling Google apparently we're not the only ones. In addition if you have Nest this "Nest" doorbell is not part of it and will never be part of it. It only works through Google Home.We returned it and exchanged it for the older wired Google Nest Doorbell.

The set up was a breeze for me, and I would consider myself to have a mild mechanical ability. The picture itself is awesome. I love the ability to interact if needed, leave a message if needed. I also love that it recognizes people, so I can know when my kids get home. For an added feeling of security, it records the people that approach my door, so I feel more safe. After some research I decided to get a Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) which uses a charging cable for the built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery. This means there is no hassle wiring the doorbell. Along with the Nest Doorbell it comes with a charge cable, base plate, 20” wedge, wedge screws, spacers, release tool, wall screws and anchors, and wire connector. The wire connector is for those who have existing wiring to connect to the existing doorbell chime. In order to use the doorbell you must have a Google Account, Google Home App, WiFi Network, and a mobile device. Of course, it works with Hey Google. It was simple to attach the doorbell outside next to my front door. I receive notifications on my phone, Google Assistant speakers, and displays when someone rings the doorbell or leaves a package. The doorbell has a 2 way speaker and built-in microphone giving me the ability to talk to whomever is at the front door from anywhere with my phone. This doorbell shows video 24/7 with a view where you can see from the ground all the way up to someone's head. Oh, it has great night vision. I can even go into the video history to watch something I missed. There were a few selling points that impressed me. First, this product uses 45% recycled plastic parts. Second, if someone removes my doorbell illegally Google Nest will replace it for free. Lastly, Google Nest provides exceptional security and privacy for my family.
