[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting a video doorbell but was always intimidated by them so when I got the battery nest I was so surprised how easy it was to set up. When you get it you have to plug it into the wall to charge it. Then you follow the steps and connect it to your wifi. You screw the base to the exterior of your house and slide the doorbell on the base. Since it is battery operated you do have to take it off occasionally to charge but it's been up for 4 days and has only gone down 3% so it lasts awhile. When someone presses the doorbell you get a notification on your phone and can open a live feed to talk to whoever's there. Nest does have subscription options so you can save recordings but just to use it as a doorbell and live video there is no extra charge.

I did find that the doorbell was a bit larger than what I expected but this is not a deal breaker at all. I like how the doorbell can be battery operated or wired as an option.

Does not work--would not activate. Spent hours reviewing information on website and chat rooms, then several hours with Google on line. Google tech support had all kinds of interesting suggestions, none of which worked. I waited too long to return for refund. Avoid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Google Nest doorbell is impressive! While it is battery operated, I opted to hardwire it so I wouldn't have to worry about the battery dying. The set up was relatively simple. My advice, download the app first, it walks you step by step through the entire process. Once it was installed, I was impressed with the crisp and clear picture I got on my phone screen. It even worked well at night when the light wasn't the greatest. This product is a winner! Knowing my home is protected by a doorbell camera, has set my mind at ease. I don't know why I didn't get one of these sooner.

I do alot of online shopping and I would worry that an nosy teenager or someone driving around looking for packages would steal mine. Now with this Google Nest I can have a piece of mind. When anyone is on the porch it sends an instant notification. It also has live video so you can watch your porch, it will also store history of the footage. I will most definitely recommend to family and friends.

We have peace of mind that our guests have arrived safely and assurances of their departures. It has also provided proof on several occasions that a party was held at our properties which is against our guest policies. We can't live without our Nest doorbells!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this doorbell! I don't have a hardwired doorbell, so getting a battery powered one was my best option. This Google Nest is just what I was looking for. I can be notified when someone walks up on my porch and to record anything that happens out in front of my house.

We have seen two to five minute delays and notifications of someone pressing the doorbell, and after calling Google apparently we're not the only ones. In addition if you have Nest this "Nest" doorbell is not part of it and will never be part of it. It only works through Google Home.We returned it and exchanged it for the older wired Google Nest Doorbell.
