Laying down, the bed feels fine, though it was taking me much longer to fall asleep. After 6+ hours, I have a sore back, and after 8 hours, I was waking up feeling as if my back and sides had been pummeled. But hey, I rarely have the opportunity to sleep for 8 hours. ;) Giving it another couple of weeks to test out. Most likely, I'll be returning the bed.

I bought this mattress a few months back with the hopes it would alleviate constant pain in my lower back. While it has not cured the issue it has made my sleep much better. I no longer have lancing pain shooting down my left leg when I sleep, which has made it easier to get into a deep sleep. The bed is firm when first lying down, but quickly softens after a few minutes. I'm between 220-230 lbs and have not noticed any issues with over firmness of the mattress, but could see where a lighter person may have that problem. All in all, I would buy this mattress again and would recommend it to family and friends shopping for a new mattress.

I've have the hardest time sleeping due to insomnia and other medical issues. We have had our bed for over 2 weeks and I sleep through the night. No more tossing and turning to adjust to a comfortable position. I can also feel the difference in my body no aches and pains in the morning. I always go to bed after my husband and I don't wake him up anymore because the mattress doesn't sink and shift. I recommend Ghostbed to anyone that wants a comfortable and full nights sleep. We live on a boat on the Salish Sea so one of the most critical factors of buying a new mattress was getting a full size mattress through a 22" x 46" door. That and getting good side-sleeping support and comfort from a bed-in-a-box. After reading all the reviews and ratings we decided on GhostBed. All the high praise it received in the reviews turned out to be fairly accurate and we are more than happy with the way we feel in the morning. All the aches, pains and crunchiness from the old mattress were oddly missing. No more Aceteminophen with breakfast!

Love the mattress, so rating it 5 stars. Best sleep I have ever had. My back no longer hurts when I wake up. Submitted a separate review for the foundation and only rated 1 star due to how much noise it makes every time I move. Great mattress! Foundation was a waste of money.

We had tried out 4-5 mattresses before we switched to the ghost bed. They were either too soft where you sunk into the bed and woke up with. Bad back or too firm where you'd toss to get comfortable and wake up hurting! Nothing seemed to have the soft but firm feel. Until we ordered our queen and then fell in love and then we upgraded to a king and we realized we weren't getting a good night rest on the bed that was given to us we decided to go back to ghost bed and now we won't ever get anything else!

I have had my bed for a few weeks now. We replaced a 30 year old mattress.... I know... I know... its a long time. We felt that every morning we woke up, we were hit by a Mac Truck. It was definitely time to replace it. We work 7 days a week and up to 10 hour days. We are exhausted to say the least. We received the mattress and it was easy to open the box, place the mattress on the bed and voila!! It expanded to a beautiful king size mattress. I actually did it all by myself during a break from work. I wanted to sleep on it that night. We wouldn't be home till 8 hours later. The plastic that held all the air slipped right out from underneath the mattress after it expanded. I was a little nervous it would be stuck there till my husband came home. We went to sleep that night and I was so excited and wanted to make sure I could explain my comfortable sleep to my friends, but I actually didnt sleep well. I guess I didn't want to miss anything! (Stupid me) anyway.... all the rest of our nights have been great. I don't feel like I was hit by a Mac truck anymore. Can't wait for my first day off so we can sleep in a bit. (We work in the tourist industry, so summers are very long days) So, I highly recommend the bed and the pillows too. I didn't think a memory pillow would be for me, but I love it. You can't really lose, you have 101 nights to try for yourself. Do it, you will love it!

Before purchasing this bed I read reviews stating that it is very firm. Im here to second that. Im a 200lb man, I sink into this bed comfortably, smaller individuals may not. All in all, I love this bed. No more hip or shoulder pain when I wake up. Also, the shredded foam pillows are great!

I have been sleeping on the Ghost bed mattress for 2 weeks now and find the latex/memory foam combination to be firm but responsive. I am a combination sleeper and it is good so far in every position. It was easy to set up and any new mattress smell there may have been was minimal and went away quickly. John R.

I was really looking forward to this bed. I read countless reviews, watched countless YouTube videos and it seemed like this would be the best choice to help my back pain but the mattress is just way too firm. I hate that I have to wait 30 days to return it.
