I bought this AC because I live in a historical building downtown and we constantly have pipes burst that results in AC shut off for days at a time. The machine worked great. Setup was extremely easy and the features are neat. My fav feature is that it can dry the inside of itself. Huge timesaver and gives me peace of mind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is quiet, reliable, and the WIFI and scheduling make it very convenient. It is very convenient to schedule on and off time, and be able to change settings from anywhere with the LG app. When we first purchased this the WIFI was flaky, but after the first firmware update, that was all fixed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit seems to work quite well, quickly cooling my office and it is not terribly loud. It seems to weigh quite a bit more than noted on the specs. What I hadn't thought of is that my old house has a sill of about 5 inches between the actual window and the storm/screen. I had to get creative and attach an extender so the water would not collect between the windows. This wouldn't have been an issue with a traditional window unit and wasn't something I ever would have thought about beforehand.

Awesome A/C unit. Complete with all components to get your home cool right out of the box. Included remote control or Wi-Fi. No more swamp cooler summers! The dry feature is a bonus on rainy days and those muggy cooped up inside days are over! Cleaner, cooler air and my allergies have improved. I should have bought this years ago.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this unit for a couple weeks and it is meeting all my needs. I bought this particular unit because of it's wi-fi capability to be able to monitor and control the temp of my apartment for my dog while i am away. It gives me peace of mind to be able to check in and make sure he's comfortable. The unit is much quieter than my previous unit and the air flow feature is a nice touch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wanted a portable even though reviews say the window ones are better;;;; I was tired of my window one ---didn't want to lug it in and out of the window anymore for the winter---.. This LG is supposedly the best design with a dual system... It is pretty quiet and cools the room off quite well (it's the whole upstairs of my small house).. The only problem is attaching the plastic hose to the window... There is a slide together attachment to latch it to the hole in the sliding slat that goes in the window.. putting the window slat into the window is easy but attaching that hose to the hole is quite difficult.. the latching slots are quite small and flimsy and don't attach into the slots very well--- not a particularly good setup but I managed to get it together... Just don't knock it or move it-- Other than that it was quite a nice machine

It's not too noisy, in fact very quiet compared to some of the others, and it's a "smart" device. You can control it with the LG ThinQ app (for iPhone or Android) if you would like. If you're using the app, you can set schedules and see estimated energy usage / costs as you go.
