We got this after the first hard ice storm. Hope it helps if we get more ice. We love our pets too much to use salt which can harm their little feet. I'll update if we use it.

We bought this early on the year but rated this low because it is senseless to give a rating for a product that won’t even be used until January and later, perhaps you can realign AI algorithms to be logical.

I was pleased with this product because it worked quickly to melt the ice on the steps and sidewalk in front of my townhouse. It also continued to work over the hours which allowed my elderly and arthritic dog to go out without the threat of slipping. Good product!

Works pretty well, but it doesn't destroy thicker ice -- it wears it down slowly. I like the 25 pound bag for ease of handling (especially with free shipping). The resealable feature on the bag doesn't mean much to me since I pour the whole bag into a spreader as soon as I open it. The only problem with the product is the presence of 2 or 3 large clumps in most bags, but they break up easily with a metal tool.

I had a new driveway put in and was looking for something safe to use. I have used this twice One bag did my whole driveway and my 90+ feet of sidewalk. A lot isn't needed but it does a great job melting and if tracked inside doesn't harm the carpets. I highly recommend this product.

The site for all the snowjoe says the 50 lb. bag is $14.82, but when you go to buy it, it become a 25 lb. bag at the same price. This is called "bait and switch." As far as I know this is an illegal procedure. Are you aware of the price offered for the 50 lb. bag?

I used this or a similar product a couple winters ago. Since this is supposed to be a wet winter in Texas (= ice), I ordered it before I needed it. With the wild animals, pets roaming loose and children in the neighborhood it seemed like a good choice. I haven't had to use it this season, but once the ice comes, it's too late to go chase it down or order it. My shipment has been delayed, maybe due to folks up North who need it more than us. That's not a problem until things get really cold down here.

Have only used it once, but it worked good then. Temp was in the mid 20's. Ordered it online and had it shipped to our local store. Walmart put each bag in a separate shipping bag. Good thing too as the first bag I opened to use had a large hole in the bottom. Luckily the shipping bag was tough and it held the ice melt okay. Otherwise so far so good.

This product is more than a surprise in how incredibly well it worked. Just took a chance and we well rewarded. First storm of the season was ice then inches of snow that could be snow blown off but still left snow covered ice. Second storm larger amount of snow - same scenario. From first to end of second storm, temps remained well below zero. After shoveling down to first layer of storms this ice melter gently softened the entire mess so it could be shoveled away before 3rd storm. Got lucky; very happy and Thank You WalMart for delivering it!

Works Great! It really helped the snow from sticking and made shoveling much easier.
