- 5 out of 5 stars review8/13/2013These tired have been on my 1997 Chevy 1500 for several years and probably near 100000 miles. My driving is mostly on good paved roads in Mississippi. Usually hot and dry or hot and wet conditions. Not much ice and snow. Have not had any problems with these tires. Highly recommend the LTX M/X tires.
Good high mileage tires
OlerebeltwoOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/2/2021We were looking for a new set of tires and wanting great performance, longevity and ride noise. We came across this tire and for the first several weeks all has been good. We've dealt with some rain and icy conditions and no lack of performance issues so far. The ride noise has been the most impressive including during a road trip we took as well. We've been impressed so far with some of the key aspects we were looking for.
So Far So Good
Damon13Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/1/2014The LTX MS are the best tires I have ever used in my 28 year driving experience in terms mileage and overall performance. They could be a little quieter. The tires were the original equipment for my 2009 Honda Ridgeline. I am now on 97,500 miles and the tires have not yet reached the wear indicators. I must admit that I am driving 80% highway in Florida and the tires are not being abused by offroad and winter conditions. Handling is great and you could not expect a better performance on wet roads including summer tropical down pours that we experience in Florida. Great product.
Excellent Service LTX MS
ShipbrokerOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/12/2010Best tire I've purchased for a full size pickup. As soon as the stock tires were worn enough to replace,I purchased Michelin. Ride ,control and stability are vastly improved. Current milage 65,000 and still plenty of tread. I estimate 80,000 miles + on this set before replacement. (based on wear to date)

VetteboyOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 4 out of 5 stars review11/12/2010I have driven 79,811 on a set of michelin LTX M/S tires with very even thread wear. I have noticed some sidewall cracks in all 4 tires and the traction is not so good on wet roads now due to thread wear. I guess it is time for a new set. I will buy the same tire again. JR

Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/8/2012I've used these tires on my wife's SUV and my old truck. They're the best tires I've ever bought for heavier vehicles. The tires on my wife's SUV are almost 2 years old and still look like new. I would have traded the truck tires from my old truck to my newer one if they would have fit.
Great tires
Leed2Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/14/2020Currently have them on my F-250 diesel with 20,000 miles on them showing little signs of wear. Should be good for at least another 50,000 miles. I'm a contractor that puts about 40,000 miles per year on my truck and these tires have taken me coast to coast, Florida in the summer to Oregon in the winter with no problems. The ride is amazing with little or no road noise. My dad also runs these on his Grand Cherokee year round in Michigan and swears by them.
Smooth, quiet ride with excellent wear!!
Jeff1Originally posted onmichelinman.comConsumer CareSo glad to hear of your great experience with Defender LTX tires, Jeff1. - 5 out of 5 stars review2/3/2013I bought a set of Michelin P245/70 R16 LXT for my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee all wheel drive a few years back now the tires have over 101000 miles on them. I measured the tread today and all tires are still have from .192 to .222 thousants of an inch of tread left. The most I have ever gotten out of previous tires is 65000 miles. Thesr are great tires and I insisted that a car I bought in 2011 had Michelins on it. Thank You Jim
Best tire made
Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/13/2013Nothing drives, rides, or last like Michelin. I have been buying Michelin tires forever. I travel the SE and have found after I wear out a set of Michelins 3 times its time to replace the truck. 80 - 90 k miles per set. You pay for them but the value is there compared to other tires plus you can't beat the ride with a stick!
Michelin Tires Are The BEST !
JacksonOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review7/23/2022Replaced OEM Good Years on my 2021 Ram 1500 Crew Cab. The Defender LTX MS tires are awesome! Smooth ride and soaKs up bumps like a champ. Great traction I’d dry and wet. When new tHere was a little more tire squirm in turns compared to good years but very minor. The ride qUality improvement makes truck feel like luxury car. Also seeing improvement in mpg. Jumped from average of 26 MPG to 27 to 28 mpg on same route.
Outstanding tire
Ram DriverOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 4 out of 5 stars review11/12/2010I drive a F250 and use to run bias tires because the sidewalls were tougher. I'm on about to get my third set of LT M/S. They are a great tire. Quiet and strong. I usually load about 1,000# to haul every day and the quiet smooth ride is to set example. Never had a tire failure with one and only cut one once. Highly recommended for a personal service vehicle.

ezOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/23/2021Not my first set of Michelins and not the last! But they will certainly be on twice as long as the last set that came on the truck and only lasted 35K and where anything but a comfortable and quite ride! The cost more but worth every penny and pay for themselves with the extra. mileage you get out of every set. The LTX never disappoints!
Great Ride!!
TBF81Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/8/2013Over 75,000 miles on my Michelin tires and they are still the best tire I ever owned. I purchased new Michelins in Jan. of 2009 for my Honda Pilot with 68,819 miles. I now have over 150,000 miles on the Pilot and still have good tread, good handling, and performance. So good, my parents borrowed my vehicle for a 3 hour drive, came back and said they'd still own their Honda Pilot if it rode and handled like mine with the Michelins. These tires are by far the best I have owned. Great wear, great handling and performance, and peace of mind when driving long distances in any kind of weather. I drive up to 600 miles a week, and am glad I am driving on these tires every day.
Still The Best Tire I Ever Owned
HuskerJonOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/6/2012I had Michelin LTX M/S for 80,000 miles on my 1999 Durango. Awesome, best tire I ever owned. Suv died before tires. Tires were still good. I was so pleased, I put brand new ones on my 2001 Tahoe with 200,000 miles. I only have 30,000 miles on new tires, but feel like brand new. I will buy again. A little more expensive up front, but over life of tire, I don't think you can buy any better tire(for a big SUV) period.
Good Tires Will buy again
BamIncOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 4 out of 5 stars review11/14/2010The only compaint I have is that one of the tires failed less than 2 weeks after purchase. Traveling 65 mph on a straight stretch, my drive wheel tire had a side wall blow-out. This could have proved fatal had it been non-straight stretch road. However, since it's replacement there has been no problem and we are more than satisfied with them.

GrannyOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/12/2010I mounted these tires on a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban. The ride is incredibly smooth. I have been a loyal Michelin customer for just about as long as I have been buying tires. These tires provide the ride and durability I have come to expect from the Michelin Man.

bicyclemanOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 2 out of 5 stars review8/9/2017I only buy Michelin tires as they are proven to be the best, I have been a faithful Michelin tire owner for many years, and however, my latest Michelin purchase I am not happy with. My MPG has dipped 3 to 4 miles per gallon since I put these tires on. These were the most expensive tires they had at the store and I was told the best Michelin tires they had, so I was quick to purchase thinking I couldn’t go wrong. Well, that's is not the case. While the tires give a smooth, quiet ride, the reduction in gas millage leaves me more than disappointed. The original brand tires the vehicle came with gave me much better millage and those were worn out
Worse gas mileage tire I have ever owned.
MattOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 4 out of 5 stars review3/10/2017This has been an excellent tire. The one thing it needs is deeper tread. Michelin, if you are listening, your competitors are offering up to 20/32 inch tread depth and you are at 13.5/32 inch on the LT285/70/17 Defender LTX. If I see another tire with that much more tread depth, there is a good chance I will purchase it. Please, more tread depth to be competitive in the current LT tire market for the next edition of this tire. At least 1/2 inch.
Very good tire, but DEEPER TREAD needed for next gen
powerhawk5000Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/14/2022I just returned from a trip in my Ford F150 from Strathroy Canada to Dallas Texas towing a 7000# trailer and I am more than happy with the control I felt from these tires. Each truck I have bought came with different tires, but when the trucks needed new tires, they were always Michelin.
Best driving characteristics; best value
Boat2rvOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/14/2013I use these these tires on my personal and work trucks. they are the quietest, smoothest, and most dependable tires I can buy. They cost more than other tires however, I cannot afford to have my trucks out of service for any ammount of time. If I can prevent time loss by spending a little more up front, then I can save a whole lot in the long run.
The Best Tires
