I purchased the red trash can and I am thrilled with the way it looks. Ive had the silver one in my laundry room for several years that I pull out during birthdays, barbecues etc. and it still looks good %26 functions well. The packaging is very impressive! The company really makes sure you receive the product in excellent condition.

I have purchased three of these. The can is fantastic except the foot-pedal. The foot pedal is a large plastic part that extends from the front to the back of the trash can. It has a pivot point so that force from your foot pressing down the pedal lifts the back rods. The rods are metal and the remaining plastic pieces do not receive much force so are simply perfect. But, the bottom petal at the point were it pivots is where it breaks. No reinforcement of plastic is done around the pivot point. A recent review photo shows the breakage. Most negative reviews are also of this problem. Where the metal force resistance rod moves through the plastic is the point of pivot. The company really needs to add additional plastic reinforcement (a thick plastic doughnut or washer should work) or better yet a metal cage to hold the weight through the pivot. It is a great trash can, but I need to move on. Replacing 3 is 1 too many for me. I don't want to contribute that much to the landfill and the cash from my pocket. I wouldn't mind buying one every 10 years or so, but 3 in 5 years is simply too many.

I purchased this with reservations due to the reviews. Well, it is cheap! It's not painted. It's tinted stainless steel. I bought the red one, which was beautiful. But that tint comes right off. Will not hold up to normal wear & tear. Extremely disappointed.

Love this trash can. I had been looking at ones double it’s price and my husband was flabbergasted trash cans can even cost that much. I finally thought to look at sams club and found this one. Love that it has a bin inside so the sides of the bag can’t be seen. Also it makes for an easier clean if somehow your trash is leaking.

Bought 2 if these and the color on lids just peels off. This is the 2nd replacement of the lids and the same exact thing is happening. Must be a manufacturer defect in the finish. Do not buy this trash can in a colored finish or it will look like this is less than a year.

I bought one of the in red a few years ago. Ever time I wipe it off with my sponge and dishwater, a little of the red finish comes off. I have places that it is down to the bare metal. I can’t remember what I paid for it, but I’m on here looking for another trash can and was shocked these are still being sold. Mine looks very crappy because of the finish. I would not recommend.

We've had this trashcan for 3 months. Never letting the trash to get so full, causing it to touch the top of the lid. However, the inside of the lid is already starting to rust. Making it look gross. To combat this I've taken some shelf lining sticky paper and put it on the top of the inside of the lid. Looks better than the rust. Not what I'd expect for the price.

It looks like someone had used the trashcan before. It had no plastic to take off as indicated in the directions. There was also some grime on it. Also, the box did not arrive in the greatest shape. Lastly, there was no paperwork in the box. It's disappointing that Sam's is not monitoring returned items.

I love this trash can. It keeps the dog out as in he can't lift the lid with his nose anymore like he could do on our old trash can, is easy to open and close hands-free, does not promote smell or odor, seals completely, and is easy to clean on the inside and outside. The liner fits very well and is snug inside the container. A great value, too.

Very nice looking, and I like the inside liner that you can take out and have nearby when you are preparing ingredients. However, the pedal does not last - it is plastic on the bottom of the unit, and it cracks. So the pedal is useless, you'll need to open the top yourself after a while. I contacted Tramontina a few months ago and they said they would get back to me. They did not.
