I just purchased my second set of AS-05 tires because the first were absolutely exceptional. I am a super picky tire person. I drive a Subaru Impreza hatchback and these tires ride on that car perfect. I've driven through 3 major snow storms in PA last winter (2017-18) - 2 Blizzards - and the tires performed brilliantly. I have 0 complaints - and I've purchased every tire out there - these are hands down my favorite. Very versatile. These tires eat snow and drink rain and ask for seconds.  The tread-life is good, could it be better (yes - last set I got 31k mi and still had 3/32"" left), however I drive 30k mi+ a yr anyway. The tires are excellent for the northeast, especially on an AWD vehicle. Surprisingly, the tires stayed true to performance all the way to the end - noise level slightly, slightly increased but unless you pay attention to dynamics like this the tires were exactly the same from day one until i swapped for the new set.

Bought a 2008 Miata that had Michelin Pilot Sport summer tires. I waited for summer, but even when the tires warmed up they noisy. Replaced with General AS-05. MUCH quieter and handle just as good as the Pilot's for our driving. I'm not saying it's better than the Pilot for all drivers, but it is a good, quiet tire. PS The main reason I tried General is my satisfaction with the Altimax 43 on our SUV.

I bought these three months ago for my Subaru BRZ and in that time I have put several thousand miles on them.  I couldn't be happier, these tires are quiet and maintain their grip in wet and dry conditions.  I also have these tires on my Mazda and before that I used their AS-03s on a previous vehicle.

This is my second set of General G-Max  AS 05 tires. These are installed on my 2020 Mazda 3 awd sedan. The performance of these tires in all conditions is first rate. Superior wet traction. Great braking performance. A big improvement over the original equipment tires.

After having no luck with my previous two sets of tires, I finally caved and listened to my friend who told me about these G-MAX AS-05 that he had put on his wives car. I have been nothing but impressed with them so far! The best feature by far is the traction that they gave me this past winter, as note earlier, my previous two sets of tires made winter driving a hassle, but these G-MAX AS-05 made me feel comfortable every time I took the wheel no matter how bad the conditions. The tread life and have both been great as well and my cars fuel economy has improved already making up for the cost of the tires. I will be buying my next set of tires from General thanks to this great product.

I'm a driver driver meaning I tear up the highways!! Bought these a year ago, so I had them through winter and summer. Where I live I usually have a problem getting out of in the winter with snow and ice and a small hill. But with these I get out no problem! Good on wet surfaces I speed a lot so I definitely put them to work good on corners and good stopping ability

Bought these tires and immediately went on a 2,000 mile road trip. Super happy with the noise, traction, and comfort of them. Spirited driving in my Fiesta ST and the tires always felt in control. Even performed fairly well in light snow (Up to 2"" on road). Would purchase them again.

I love these tires. They stick to the road very well. They perform great in the rain even when it's a large downpour. My only issue, (which maybe bc of the cars weight 3,543lbs curb weight) is they they will feel like they are flat spotting after 2/3days of sitting. Once the tire warms up it's fine and smooth again.

Replaced my stock Pirelli summer tires on the 15 Mustang GT and I can't believe the improvement. Its literally a night and day performance upgrade. I finally feel confident pushing the car a bit. Was forced to make a full speed tactical lane change and pulled off the move of a lifetime to avoid a serious highway wreck. Thank you General- if I was still wearing the Pirellis it would have been terrible.

I was re-introduced to these tires by the Dodge SRT engineers at Chrysler's at Carlisle running them on their Dodge Hellcats on the mini road course. When it came time to replace my OEM Goodyears on my 2016 Dodge Charger R/T Super Track Pack my tire guy recommended them as well so I gave them a shot. The last time I owned Generals was in the 1980's. What an impressive tire for the money! Smooth ride and handling and a rubber compound/tread design that sticks when you push them. I salute the General.  I believe their jingle back in the 1980's was ""sooner or later you'll own General"". Well this is my second set of G-MAX AS 05's and they are wonderful tires. If you do some spirited driving you'll want to give a set of these a shot. You won't regret it.
