Tires grip in wet and dry very good.  Snow no go.  Only draw back is when tires are cold there must be flat spots that make the tires vibrate alot.  i still have a small vibration once they warm up,  had them re-balanced twice. Maybe the rims? they were purchased new with the tires, Tolerable but not perfect.Price was good  225x45R18

I am now a three-time owner of General tires...all placed on my 2008 Chevrolet Impala currently with 172K. For reasons unknown, General has had a dark cloud over their name. I work in the auto repair business and that feeling seemed to be synonymous with the General name. Although I was able to stretch the OEM Goodyear's to close to 60K, I knew they would not be the replacement tire of choice after my experiences past the 20K mark. When looking for the Goodyear replacements, I read some customer reviews about the General line with some surprisingly positive results. With cost in mind and the high customer reviews, I want ""against the grain"" and bought my first set of Generals. I wore them to another 125K and bought another set of the same just as they were being phased-out. Well, I wore them out too and knowing my current tires were discontinued, I turn to the General catalog again and found the GMax A-05s.... Well, I wore these A-05s down to about 80% and I am checking here in the General catalog to see is these are still being made because I have a flat tire. One of my tires has a piece of metal in it that is too large to repair. The tires have been rotated a few times so I am unsure if this is a newly developed puncture or the piece of implanted metal that has finally desired to made itself known. What ever it may be a General replacement tire will be used and a few more to compete my new set. I plan to surpass the 200K mark and I feel confident my Generals will take me there.

I live at 9000 ft in the Rockies. Mix between in town 15 miles round trip to 160 freeway miles round trip. Tires are quiet, seem to be getting good mileage and generally (no pun intended) are responsive. I have noticed in wet areas on the freeway tires are a little grabby and hydro plane a bit. Overall, for the price very satisfied.

I purchased these tires a several months ago to replace my firehawks on my 2015 Dodge Charger. These are much better tires they are very quiet and smooth to be performance tires. I guess it depends on the type of car you driver but if you have a Charger these are great replacements.

This is my second set of General G-Max  AS 05 tires. These are installed on my 2020 Mazda 3 awd sedan. The performance of these tires in all conditions is first rate. Superior wet traction. Great braking performance. A big improvement over the original equipment tires.

I purchased 4 of theses tires in the fall of 2018. It was the best decision I ever made. They are beyond excellent. They are very quiet, no road noise. They are durable, they still look like they're brand new. They preform extremely well in wet conditions and especially in snowy or icy conditions. I will continue to buy this tire for as long as they continue to make it. It is my go to tire and I'm glad I found it. PS - no one is paying me to say this, I just love this tire. Buy em, you'll like em too!

These tires were such an amazing upgrade from Hankooks that came standard on my Hyundai Tucson. They are quiet, have great traction (especially during Michigan Winters), and great tread life so far. The only reason they are not getting a 5* from me is - my fuel efficiency lost about 2-3 MPG when I switched to these General G-max as-05. Definitely a great tire!

This is a great tire to replace your Micheline's.  I went to 255/35/18 and I can really feel better grip and handling.  I also get better rim protection because the tire is now a little wider than than the rim. I took one star of because they are definitely louder than the original Micheline tires that came with it.  The car is already kinda loud when going 75 so I don't really mind.

These replaced a set of pirelli p zero all season plus tires on an Infiniti G37. Overall I'm happy with them. My only real criticism is that they are louder over all types of pavement. I think these tires are a good value if tread noise isn't a priority

These tires do well in most conditions. The price was good as well. We needed a good all round tire with just a hint toward sporty driving. This tire has so far fit the bill. It is a mainly used a family car, but occasionally gets driven in twisty roads.
