My son had gotten the smaller one and it lasted a year. My daughter hung on the rim and it finally broke. We decided to look at wal mart web site and found it! We ended up ordering the bigger hoop. It is great. Very good quality. Has padding on back so it won't damage the door it hangs on. I have two sons 7 and 13. They play on this hoop with their friends all the time. They love to have dunk contests. It has a break away rim. They are very rough with it. It is the only indoor hoop that has lasted more than a month or two. Thinking about buying an extra hoop just in case they stop carrying it!

Solid and well build hoop and board. Steel hoop attaches firmly to the backboard. The backboard has firmly attached door brackets that fit nicely over the door and has sufficient padding behind to protect the door from damage. This thing is well built and will last for decades if treated well. Meaning that these hoops are not really meant for dunking. It's by no means fragile but repeated hard dunking could eventually break it. Also, the ball works well if not over inflated. Recommended.

Bought the mini XL basketball hoop for our 10 year old and he loves it. Heck, my wife and I shoot as many shots as he does! Installation was a snap and we used the free, site to store shipping. Excellent item!

My grandson(12yo) is a basketball nut. He is always outside “shooting hoops” but on bad weather days, he can now shoot inside. He loves this because it’s more realistic than most indoor hoops.

Bought this for my 7 year old son and he absolutely loves it. It hangs perfectly over the door and there's padding on the back to protect the door. I definitely recommend.

This is a great hoop, brilliant idea! No more plastic rim hoops that break 1st time u play with them. The net did break within a day of playing with it, but with 3 boys dunking the ball, it doesn't surprise me, we just tied a knot in it & hooked it back on.

The Mini Hoop Xl is bigger than the origional mini hoop. The hoop and the ball are also bigger. The only problem that I have had with this product is the "breakaway" rim. It is more likely to snap the backboard in half then for the breakaway rim to budge. But if you don't hang on the rim you should be fine. It looks like the real deal, and provides fun for the kids when they can't go outside. I would get this product, it is very thoughtfully put together.

We have had other of these over the door basketball hoops. Most slide around and end up scratching the door. The Sklz ones have foam on the back and do not. This is our second one. The first one lasted about 2 years worth of dunking :)

The hoop and over-the-door brackets are over-engineered for the flimsey backboard. It states breakaway Rim; but the backboard will shatter before that ever happens. The balls are too hard for inside play. The net is made of jute rope (coarse/stiff) and tied wrong - Just purchase a $10 nerf hoop and have fun!

Rim is great, the plastic for the backboard however is flexible and needs reinforcement. Makes it very loud and unstable. Had I known this, I would not have bought it. I may make a better backboard for the rim if I get time for a project.
