I normally love these, but the last time I got some, there was a bone piece in one, and as I was chewing, I bit into the bone piece and my mouth has been in agony since! My tooth is loose, I've got pain and swelling, but I can't afford a dentist so there's nothing I can do. AVOID THESE!

I check in from time to time to view the smokies package as I, too, was not happy with the new recipe. Last shopping trip, I noticed the smokies in the package were smaller like they use to be. So, I purchased a package of them. Just cooked them as part of our brunch. So glad a change back to the original recipe has been made. Hope it's permanent! Thank you, Hillshire!

I have been buying these for years, but now they are changed, they are more like Vienna sausage or hot dogs, this is a total disappointment, I will not be buying these anymore. Why you can't leave things as they were is a mystery to me. They are terrible now.

We purchase the 3# package and divide it into 3 equal portions to vacuum seal and freeze. We have found underweight packages. Our most recent purchase on 11/01 had a total net weight of 44.7 oz vs. a package label net weight of 48 oz. - a 6.875% shortage. At this fill rate the price should be about 50 cents per package less (based on Sam's price of $6.98. This is a recurring issue that has been reported to the manufacturer.

I have been buying Cheddar Lil Smokies for years and this most recent batch doesn't even seem like real meat! They're so oily they slide off the plate. The texture is almost like Vienna Sausages (which is nasty) What changed? If this is the new normal I won't ever buy these again.

I have made these little smokies for years. I boil them to remove excess liquid and then combine ketchup and bbq sauce and toss. They are a Christmas tradition at our house. Also made them for years for our children's birthday parties; always a hit with the kids. I have even had requests from my daughter's friends on how to make them.

2 years in a row on NYE I've opened packages of these sausages that have black spots on them. The date is fine and the picture of sausages on the package appears that there may be spots in them, so maybe it's a change in the recipe. It makes me think of mold and is unappetizing to see. I can't tell based on the ingredient list what the spots could be. I'll try a different brand next year.

I have been eating Lit'l Smokies for years but will not buy again unless you go back to the original recipe. You obviously changed the ingredients. Why did you lower the quality of this wonderful little sausage??? I would rather pay a few cents more for the original recipe if it is a matter of money!! You are losing a lot of customers as all of my friends say the same... it is a "horrible taste" since the ingredients change!!

I have always love these lil smokes whether cooking them is some bbq sauce for appetizers or adding them with french toast for breakfast. But the new texture reminds me of the other brand and are not good. If it's not broke, don't fix it. Very disappointed in the change.

One star review due to packaging shrink! Please increase the amount of Lit'l Smokies you put in a package to at least 32. I opened a package today and there were only 26. 32 is the number needed to combine with a sleeve of crescent rolls cut into 32 triangles. One pack of Lit;l Smokies to one sleeve is the perfect ratio. I'm sick of all the shrinking packages because companies are afraid to increase prices. If needed, raise the price and keep the number in a pack to at least 32!!!
