Nice blue hydrangeas this year!

I planted the blue hydrangeas last year and they look amazing! All I did was plant them in the ground and hit it with Miracle-Gro every so often. I am pleased with my purchase.

Still waiting to see growth

Need to be very patient. Of the 4 I purchased,1 so far has green leafs. I'm still waiting on the other 3. When I bought them they still had some life but after planting they have turned into just twigs. I am still hopeful. Note: these plants were just poorly packaged and in very poor condition. I wish I had taken pictures just so you could see and understand my review. Took them out of the bags and they were dry. Got them into a good water soak before I even planted them. Soil was very much dry and all the dirt was so loose that the plants were barely holding on to any life! I still chose to take a chance. Atleast I got 1!

Disappointed

Bought 12 of these. All of the Hydrangea were no good as in dead and only two of the Lilac seem to have a little life in them. SO DISAPPOINTED! Was really looking forward to some beautiful flowers.

Very disappointed

Dead on arrival! doubt these dry dead sticks will produce a flower.

Not a good idea buying a boxed plant

It was already dead when I'm trying to plant it

Not a lilac

Bought the pack of 1 lilac/1 hydrangea in 2024. Lilac survived, hydrangea did not. This spring 2025 my lilac is in fact not a lilac, but a mimosa tree. So disappointed. I paid $18 for a plant/tree that I already have on my property.

Dont' buy; rude customer service

I bought these with the expectation that mine would look similar to the ones my grandmother had. I prepared my soil and in they went. I noticed that there no bulbs in the bags but said ok maybe these are "hybrid" plants. Well, I start seeing some green leaves on one but not the other and after 2 weeks the green leaf plant died and the other plant never grew. I decided to take them back for a refund and the cashier had the nerve to tell me that I should have started them indoors in pots. I said why would l have done that when the box does not indicate to do so. She went on to say if you would have they would have bloomed. I just smiled and said thank you for being rude!! DONT BUY

Hard to Keep Plants Alive

I bought these a month before they could be planted (like several other people who asked questions about this product). I babied them and opened the bag and watered them twice and of the four hydrangeas (1 has lived), two lilacs (remains to be seen if either lives - looks doubtful), six blackberries (remains to be seen if an of them live - looks doubtful), one phlox box/10 plants (remains to be seen if any of them live - looks like 1 might make it), 120 Gladiolas (these I have high hopes for half making it), 1 box Calla Lillies/10 bulbs (had bad mold - doubtful any will live). The ones that did best were the 10 blueberry boxes/20 plants I bought from Sams...but then our local garden store did a Buy One Get One Free special on 1 gallon blueberries for the same price as Sam's boxes (and their beautiful blueberries were twice as tall, filled out...with blueberry blooms!!) Needless to say I will not be wasting my money buying plants from Sam's again. It was a costly disaster.

As others have reviewed I got wasted ,dried and dead plants , no wonder they were marked down. I decided to gove a try just in case I'm lucky to get a good one but NO ,i'm as disappointed as others. A different bulb purchase also was bad.Sams you need to pick better plant products

Save Your Money

Terrible. Per the box there's supposed to be a "ball" of roots, I guess that's considered the dormant plant. The first bag there wasn't a ball of roots, there was a bunch of fertilizer and a broken stick. The second bag, I opened from the top and noticed the start of some growth so I cut the bag from the bottom. There was a small ball of roots. I planted and watered as suggested, the plant withered up and died within two days. I dont claim to be great with plants but seriously, this is stupid. I ended up planting the bag of fertilizer just in case there were some seedlings and the ball of roots in large flower pots just in case they would grow. After a few weeks of nurturing, I realized I was nurturing dirt. I felt a little guilty taking the empty box back to Sam's. I told the gal my story, after a giggle she ended up giving me my money back. Ended up taking the money and buying some hydrangeas from HD, I planted them in the same pots and they are thriving a beautiful. Save your money for something else at Sam's
