We bought this wonderful 14 year old last year and just opened it this week. I poured a wee dram in a Glenlivet glass made for nosing. Very pleasant on the nose mellowed by sherry and cognac barrels. The honey on the tongue mellows quickly on the sides of the tongue and finishes softly. It is not a very long finish but leaves one ready to repeat the process. This is a highly recommended single malt.

But then, the flavors deepen and it is actually quite nice. The bottle and the box were very nice and I appreciated the details in the packaging. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars.

We wanted to send a short review of the 14 Year Scotch. We are enormous fans of the Glenlivet collection of scotch, but found a real deviation from the quality and flavor from the rest. Unfortunately we cannot reccomend the 14 to anyone because the notes are diluted and the after taste leaves the impression of fruity stale grains. For the money, the 15, Founders Reserve, and the Caribbean are far better choices. On a side note try the Glenlivet in a GLENCAIRN glass, it's a life changing experience.

I have several of The Glenlivet collection, to include the 21 and 25 years old(s). Those two in particular are exquisite... but for flavor to price--- the 14 Year Old is top shelf quality. It starts smooth, cascades across the palate and rests in the back of the throat, keeping the flavor the whole way. Taste is subjective, but I love The Glenlivet(s) because they are light on peat and smoke. I like it over a cold cube or with a nice 2 inch ice ball... Highly recommend!

Glenlivet is a superior line of high quality beverages that's very distinctively different in taste and quality levels available to the consumer is absolutely stupendously Awesome. Highly recommended for any special occasions or Holiday cheers to any formal or informal gathering.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In this price range you can definitely find better single malts. I would say it’s a 7/10. I have had this before as well. The aroma is not overwhelming and It has a little bit of honey and vanilla notes which some might prefer but it over all it is an average product and you can definitely find better ones at this price.

Had a deep three finger pour with just a splash to open it up. Immediately greeted with that familiar Speyside profile… but yet different. It is the nice traditional flavors I love about Glenlivet but with more layers. Deeper. Richer. More complex yet with an unexpected smoothness and easy drinkability. This is what basic single malts wish they could grow up to be.

It was cheaper to buy this in store , even after the discount, taxes and shipping. So I purchased this at my local liquor store. This whisky has a smooth taste. I cannot handle straight whisky so I always mix my liquor. It smelled great and I liked the bottle. I am a brandy drinker and this had some of the same notes as the brandy I drink. This was very easy to drink by itself but even more with a mixer. I can see myself buying this brand again if I want to impress my guests but for the price I will stick with my brandy.
