I have had many sets of Michelin tires. (Probably close to 8.) Only 2 bad tires they replaced without issue. I have these tires on my wife's Sequoia and my mother's 4 runner. Excellent tires on them. I bought these for my 2020 F250. These are HORRIBLE at throwing rocks! The grooves in the center of the tire (there's 5 of them if I recall) love to grab rocks from gravel driveway/roads and kick them up on my truck. These would hold rocks even at high speed and eject them when doing 80 mph on freeway. I have no idea why those grooves need to be so wide on a highway tire??

We drive the 1250 Km back and forth to Florida each year. How many times on the I75 did I say ‘thank you Michelins' when swerving around tire debris, road kill and pot holes, at 80 mph. Thankfully, conditions were good. But they are the best tires I can buy. Again, ‘thank you Michelins'.

This has been an excellent tire. The one thing it needs is deeper tread. Michelin, if you are listening, your competitors are offering up to 20/32 inch tread depth and you are at 13.5/32 inch on the LT285/70/17 Defender LTX. If I see another tire with that much more tread depth, there is a good chance I will purchase it. Please, more tread depth to be competitive in the current LT tire market for the next edition of this tire. At least 1/2 inch.

My 2015 Escape came equipped with the worst (not Michelin) high performance tires on earth and literally were breaking apart in a short time. I was advised the Defenders were the best and I'm on my 2nd set. I've had Blizzaks on this car, but now that they're worn out, I find the Defenders do the job all seasons in Michigan!

Completed a 17,000 trip to Northern Canada including Dempster Highway which is known to chew up tires. Did a tire rotation halfway through trip and they are still looking good with no abnormal tire wear or damage. Have purchased many Michelin tires over the years and they are the best in terms of coming close to advertised wear life but you do need need to keep them inflated properly, balanced and do the rotations on a regular basis.

I've had problems with two sets of these. Both wore out way too quickly. The first set was on my Wife's Toyota Sequoia and the 2nd on my GMC Yukon. I put 12k miles on these and they are down to 5/32nds. I plan to take my pro-rated warranty and buy a different brand once they reach 4/32. I used to swear by these tires and this brand, but not anymore.

Purchased my 2016 F150 Lariat with what I thought were the best 275 55/R20 LTX M/S2 and only have 33k miles. Need Replace. Nice even wear, Rotated every 5K Miles, would Like to replace with same or equivalent (if and only If) I can pro rate. Please contact me ASAP Im Keeping this truck for many more years, I have reciepts of rotation but not filled out book pg 23-25 as Ford dealer Never Gave it to me. ;<{

I was a Michelin Man for life until I got 50,000 miles out of my 70,000 mile LTX M/S tires. I paid the higher price to get the mileage that Michelin is known for so I'm really disappointed. My friends are saying the same- they just don't last like they used to. I highway drive back and forth to work and do the occasional hunting trips in my Nissan Titan LE so there is no reason on my part for the excessive tire wear. Sure, to make it better they will give me the 20% for the wear but that does not cover (1) the extra I paid to begin with and (2) all of the extra cost of going thru the mounting process 20,000 miles earlier than expected.

I just returned from a trip in my Ford F150 from Strathroy Canada to Dallas Texas towing a 7000# trailer and I am more than happy with the control I felt from these tires. Each truck I have bought came with different tires, but when the trucks needed new tires, they were always Michelin.

Long time Michelin fan. 2 months ago we had Defenders installed on our 2017 Ram 1500 and compared to the worn OEM tires, these are very quiet. One concern (or complaint) is that on gravel roads, they pick up and throw rocks… a lot more than any tire I've ever owned. I may have to swap these if I determine the rocks are causing damages.
