Bought these tires to replace the original tires on my Honda Pilot. Original tires wore completely out by 27,000 miles. After researching tires, not something I care to do again, and asking around, everyone led me straight to the Michelin LTX M/S for my SUV. They were right. My original tires were bumpy, really noisy, and just plain awful. Driving with the Michelin's on is like night and day. The difference was amazing and immediately noticed. The LTX's are quiet, comfortable, and have great traction both in wet and dry conditions. I will suggest to everyone to stay away from the cheaper tires (not sure that anyone should pinch a penny on tires...save that for peanut butter), stop looking, and just get the Michelin's. Your vehicle will thank you!

My first set of this tire lasted through 130,000 miles and I am now on my second set of the same one. Traction in snow is far beyond reasonable expectation...they are reasonably quiet and comfortable...the best I can find for my Explorer. What more can I say? I have absolutely no complaints and have even convinced my wife to put Michelins on her Honda.

Sometimes it takes awhile to realize there are products that paying alittle extra for up front return far greater value AND performance over the long term. Michelin LTX M/S - LTX M/S2 tires examplify that truth. After several sets of supposedly "quality" 6-ply tires for our Suburban used to pull our Airstream trailer and having a tread separate on the last set while towing at 55 mph on a very not day in northern California, we installed Michelin LTX M/S tires and have nothing but good things to say. First the Michelin tires DO NOT LOSS AIR PRESSURE between our trips like the previous "quality" tires did. Second the Michelin tires are more round AND required minimum wheel weights to balance. Thus the ride quality is far superior to the previous "quality" tires. Third even running the same 75 or 80 psi as done previousily with the other "quality" tires in the rears on the Suburban, the stability of the Michelin's is far superior. Bottom line, I have recommended Michelin to all that will listen in our Airstream group and many are making the switch as I did. FYI we recently purchased an Yukon XL to replace the aged Suburban with over 200,000 miles and had the new LTX M/S2's installed. I had purchased some for my Suburban and planned to keep the vehicle until the tires wore out. The vehicle wore out before the tires did. When my tires needed to be replaced on my next vehicle I did not hesitate to replace them with Michelin. I've got almost as many miles on them as I did on the original tires and they have shown very little wear.

when our Jeep needed new tires, research on quality, safety, performance and overall value led us to Michelin. 18 years later and 3 more sets of Michelins, still happy and satisfied with the original choice and every choice in between. would never consider another tire - just the safety reputation alone is worth it, but to get the performance, durability and ride comfort in addition, there just aren't better tires on the market... period.

Replaced my Michelin Latitude Tour HPs (after 50,000 miles) on my 2009 Acura MDX with the four new Defender LTX MS. Have had them for only a month now, but really like them. Smooth, quiet, and seem to hug the road well in wet and dry conditions. Have driven them on highway and city....perform well in both instances.

This is the third set of LTX M/S I've owned and I will not ever own anything else! These tires are perfect for my truck ,long interstate drives or getting a little mud on my tires makes no difference with these babies! My dad always taught me the two most important things on a vehicle were the tires and brakes. He also said your going to get what you pay for, which I didn't always follow his advise. I took the cheaper route and it always cost me more in the end. LTX Michelins will out last and ride smoother then any tire on the market and thats why this guy will never buy anything else. I've been driving since 1983. I've driven a tremendous amount of miles for someone who doesn't make a living driving cargo. I've run the first 2 versions of this line on a Chevy Tahoe 4x4 and Ford F-150 4x4. These tires are amazing. They run noticeably smoother, quieter and longer than OEM tires. They are absolutely the best all purpose on road tire available in our Cleveland and Ohio climate. I know Michelin does not approve running tires too long and I never will again. but our last set, on the Tahoe, ran 117,000 miles when we sold the Tahoe at 260,000 miles. A friend purchased the vehicle and said the tires ran another 10,000 miles.

I have had the Defender on my 2013 Ford Explorer for a few days. I almost didn't buy them because of reviews saying that they are noisy and have poor ride quality. I am glad that I didn't believe those reviews. These tires are as quiet as my old Latitudes and give me a good ride, plus I get the 70,000 mile warranty instead of 55,000 miles. Having the tires for only a few days, I haven't tried the in snow yet, but they have a good tread design to give good traction. I am very pleased with my decision to buy the Defender.

Michelin Defender Tires They make great affordable tires, and safety is a must on the mountain in the wintertime. Great performance, smooth riding, quiet tires, very comfortable ride. Installation was a bit pricey,I need 5 new ones on my SUV now. Yes,I recommend these tires.
