Raised Brown Letters

I have owned several sets of BFG Radial TA's throughout the years and had nothing but praise for them. Until now, that is. My latest set seemed different from the day I bought them. The blue protective coating seemed nearly impossible to remove. Then, the white letters just didn't seem to come clean. These tires are on a collector car that stays safely stored in a garage and only gets driven to car shows and cruises. However, after being stored away, the lettering is now stained brown. Also, the black sidewalls are discolored as well. They seem to be oozing some sort of solvent. I've tried every type of cleaner and scrubbing method to no avail. So BFG, what gives? None of the previous versions I've purchased have had this problem. Just a quick search on the internet shows that this is a widespread problem with these tires. The irony of this issue is this. Consumers who buy these particular tires are classic car enthusiasts who take great pride in every detail of their cars. They want to take them to shows and cruises and present them as works of art. Frankly, I'm embarrassed to take my car anywhere with my BF (Brown Font) Goodrich Radial TA's on it. Other enthusiasts look at me in disgust as if I couldn't take 5 minutes to clean my tires! So my question to you is, "How can you market a specialty tire to a certain target group, yet your tire no longer meets that groups need? BTW, I paid much more for this set of BFG's than I did for any previous sets I've owned, yet I've got an inferior product. Is Goodrich doing anything to address this problem or accommodate customers, or would you prefer that loyalists like myself look to other tire manufacturers?

These tire are flat out ...

These tire are flat out the best bang for the buck you can get. They have given me over 75k miles and wear like iron. I drive Michigan streets and roads that are some of the worst in the country and with the last 3 set have never had a problem with any of them. I love BFG tires, rock solid quality !!!!

Browning white letters

White letters turned brown shortly after purchase. Tried cleaning with various products, will not come to white again. Car stays in garage and goes into trailer for shows. Lately have not gone anywhere with it, too embarrassed. Looking for another tire brand.

The radial T/A's handle ...

The radial T/A's handle great on my Sonoma, currently running a staggered setup with 255/60/15 and 275/60/15 to make the front a little lower. Handles great and tires get great traction even at the limit. Very easy to drive deep into corners and know when and what will happen will predictible handling

Great Tire

I had these tires on a 67 Mustang GT Fastback 390 4 speed I had them on a 64 Falcon Sprint 260 4 speed and I just put them on my 66 Mercury Cyclone GT 390 4 speed. If you have a classic muscle car BF Goodrich Radial T/A's are the best and look great. I have 205 70R 14 on the front and 245 60R 14 on the rear for that real muscle car look.

Great Tire Great Traction

Great tire. 2 sets. 2wd v6 SLT club cab Dakota. 255/70R15. Excellent wet and dry traction. They corner and BRAKE Well! Several emergency stops in Dallas where my other tires would have failed me. There wear somewhat quickly but 40k isn't bad for excellent traction even down to the bone. If you get 60k... that is hard rubber that won't stop you. I switched to the Rugged Terrain T/A on my Dakota now since I now need a little better offroad gravel traction.

One of the best tires I ...

One of the best tires I have owned! I installed a set of Radial T/A's on a few of my cars in the past, butI have to review about my first set, which was on a 1974 Mercury Montego. I had 295 50 15's on the back of the car, and I was going on a ski trip to the mountains with a friend. There was a major snow storm that day and highways were being closed. I drove through some of those closed highways, and without ever losing traction! Even up in the mountain town of Banff, Alberta and climbing some grades, 2 feet of snow on top of parked cars, these tires worked incredibly! I never thought such a wide tire could get traction in snow, but they did. These tires also wore very evenly, another surprise for such a wide tire. I had traction in wet conditions as well as dry, and with a mild 400 cubic inch motor with some torque, the tires were very well suited to a larger car with some weight. I highly recommend these tires to anyone who wants performance and longevity.

Brown letters

Handles good. Letters are brown

Literally the second weekend I've had my car out since the tires have been put on. (Put on About a month ago) and the letters are brown. Should of just stuck with Cooper tires, didn't have any issues from their white letters. Hope you all read this and get ahold of me. I want a refund. Absolutely unacceptable for the money I spent on those tires

These tires went on my ...

These tires went on my 1985 Cutlass that I purchased new in 1985 and only have 45,000 miles on it. The Radial TA's take me back to the musclecar days of the 60's and 70's. I'm glad BFG still makes this classic look available! They provide an excellent ride and look great!

Crazy Brown Lettering wrecks the cars look!

Bought new BFG TA radials for my restored 70 camaro and within a month the white lettering had turned brown never to be white again no matter what I clean it with. Even searched out the best detailer in my city and let him have a go at it and they were slightly whiter for about 48 hours and then back to the brown. Should have gone with the Nitto's but had BFG's on it and loved them, these new ones not so much.
