must have been a vad batch. Tasted dry. no flavor. But the texture was gross feeling. Usually I can just eat a slice plain outta the package, but this time ...nope. yucky

Stale

Our product quality (and your satisfaction!) are ... - 5 out of 5 stars review1/14/2022I love this bread. It has whole grains and seeds but it actually tastes good and the seeds aren't overwhelming. I also really love the backstory of the company, which makes me want to support them even more. My kids aren't as big of a fan but I think it's great for deli sandwiches and sometimes just with butter on it.
Delicious
Carb loverOriginally posted ondaveskillerbread - 5 out of 5 stars review7/21/2020My husband and I love several varieties of Dave's bread. Whatever kinds we can get. This bread is better than any other store bought I have found in my 57 years, for both taste and health. A person could live on it! I just wish that my Alliance, OH store would carry more of it, and more varieties.
You could live on this bread
LyoneOriginally posted onwalmart.com - 4 out of 5 stars review5/26/2023I've eaten this bread almost every day for the past 3 years. Lately I've noticed that the bread does not have the usual amount of seeds on the crust. Some flaxseed, some sesame seeds, oats, and barley. I don't see any sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds. Someone needs to correct that issue immediately! I agree with the other reviews that there is way too much sugar....doesn't need it. Hope you see this review and make the changes. I won't spend that kind of money and not get what I pay for.
Love the bread but need to make changes
mizdawnOriginally posted ondaveskillerbread - 5 out of 5 stars review2/10/2024I was skeptical about trying the bread, but the commercial was irresistible. I had actually cut sandwich bread from my shopping list for years; but again, the commercial kept luring me. I went to the grocery store and bought a loaf. The price was enough to make me change my mind. Nevertheless, I purchased it. It was absolutely wonderful! It was the best sandwich bread that I've ever had! I am hooked.
The Best Bread Ever
Gold@7Originally posted ondaveskillerbread - 2 out of 5 stars review2/20/2025I felt like I was going crazy the last few months of buying this bread??!! When I first started purchasing it like 3 years ago the taste was great! Soft inside and nice light brown outside! Now the center feels so dry and the outside is always so burnt. Every time I eat it, it’s so dry. Have the ingredients changed as well?? It used to be wheat flour but now has cracked wheat? Why change the product when the taste and consistency was perfect?? I’m so sad, because you guys actually made a quality product that tasted amazing that I was willing to spend more money on. What a shame.
I’m going crazy?

Our product quality (and your satisfaction!) are v... - 5 out of 5 stars review8/13/2023I came to the website to look at the ingredients after having a vegan tuna salad sandwhich that was out of this world. The bread was sooooo.... good. I love that it does not have high fructose corn syrup or a bunch of other crap in it. Really love this slightly sweet, nutty bread.
Delicious, healthy, hearty bread..... so good!
healthy momOriginally posted ondaveskillerbread - 5 out of 5 stars review1/14/2022Dave's killer bread was new to me I found out about it through a YouTube family. Once I tried it i liked how filling it is. There's so much healthy ingredients put in the bread that makes it so delicious. I like to eat it toasted with butter or my personal favorite as avocado toast. I recommend this bread to everyone who wants more out of there daily carbs than plain bread. Also has a Great taste & super affordable considering all the goodness in the bread. Love Dave's Killer Bread !
I love this bread

I am introducing some good organic foods with high nutrition value and convenience. I am totally hooked! I will never buy another sandwich loaf again for my husband and myself. Terrific!
This is what bread should taste like
ALWaysOriginally posted ondaveskillerbread - 5 out of 5 stars review1/14/2022Love everything about their products. Tasty and healthy leaves room to indulge without the guilt! I thoroughly enjoy an avocado toast or egg sandwich in the mornings. Their breads have become a staple in our house and gives us the fiber we need on a daily basis!

AnaOriginally posted ondaveskillerbread - 3 out of 5 stars review4/8/2023I really love Dave’s 21 whole grains bread and the healthy ingredients added to it. However, I’m sad to say that I won’t be buying it anymore due the amount of added sugar in each slice. I mean does a slice of bread really need 5 grams of sugar? The bread is so good that it doesn’t even need that extra sugar. It’s mostly health conscious people purchasing this bread so I really do think more people would buy it if y’all didn’t add so much sugar in your bread. Other than the high sugar content, this really is a good bread and I’d happily buy it again if there’s a zero added sugar option in the future.
Great bread
BlueOriginally posted ondaveskillerbread - 5 out of 5 stars review4/5/2023I've loved this bread since the first moment I tasted it. It has a wonderful texture. It toasts great on my cast iron griddle and the 27 Oz loaf has slices perfectly sized and shaped for sandwich making. Another reviewer complained about the amount of sugar per slice. Don't be fooled one 20 Oz bottle of coke has nearly as much sugar as this entire loaf, but Dave uses organic cane sugar instead of HFCS. I agree it's expensive when compared to other brands, but you get what you pay for in this world. Great recipe Dave! Don't change a thing.
Delicious taste, superb texture and Nutritious!
AeonstarOriginally posted ondaveskillerbread - 1 out of 5 stars review11/26/2022I regret not noticing that there are 5 grams of added sugar in every slice of this bread. I think that’s close to half a cup in a loaf? Far too much for a bread I had hoped was healthier. Personally I’d prefer a much less sweet taste too. I won’t be buying it again.
Lots of added sugar
jtbOriginally posted ondaveskillerbread - 5 out of 5 stars review6/28/2023went 2 weeks without it. ate reg bread with reg ingredients. had no energy. went back to this bread energy back. I'm 68 a full-time nurse and homemaker: I can't be without my energy. 5gms proteins plus the organic stuff, not the poisons in conventional breads.
Health-Wise
PopeyeOriginally posted ondaveskillerbread - 5 out of 5 stars review1/14/2022Have been buying this bread for months now and really enjoy the taste of it no batter how you prepare it. Toasted or plain as a sandwich is the best love all the grains I. The crust. Have definitely turned my friends on to this delicious delight. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely would buy it again.
JerryOriginally posted ondaveskillerbread - 1 out of 5 stars review4/15/2023the description indicates this is an 8 count box of bread loaves. i thought i was getting an amazing deal, which is the only reason i purchased it because i have a huge family. turns out i was just paying full price for one loaf of daves killer bread.DylaneyOriginally posted onwalmart.com
- 2 out of 5 stars review8/17/2025Bread should not have sugar in it !! this taste of sugar is very unpleasant, it kills the taste of grains ! Europeans do not put sugar in bread, so why do you ? all this sugar in food makes americans unhealthy and fat !! now if someone want to eat something sweet, they can eat a cake ! bread is not a cake ! so please stop putting sugar in your bread and you should also have some bread without gluten ! gluten and sugar are a poison ! Americans need to eat healty and your bread is unhealthy !
Why do you put sugar in bread ? this is not a cake
poodlefan2Originally posted ondaveskillerbread - 5 out of 5 stars review5/15/2023Beware, this stuff is addictive. Texture is almost cakelike. Not too thick but substantial enough to compliment whatever I throw inside. Really goes well with PB&J, but also takes a deli sandwich to the next level. Sometimes when I'm in a rush I just take a few slices and eat it alone and it feels like a meal. Suprisingly sweet with a nutty flavor. Once in a rare while the loaves come a bit overbaked and drier but most of the time it is just right, moist and chewy.
My breakfast every day
MacOriginally posted ondaveskillerbread - 1 out of 5 stars review1/8/2025Wayyy too much sugar! Check out the ingredients! I made stuffing for my turkey and this Dave's Whole Grain w/seeds ruined it. It was disgustingly sweet, not savory. Yuck. We were all disappointed. This much sugar defeats the point of your "healthy" advertising. I will buy other brands from now on!
Sugar is 4th ingredient????
Cooking ConceptsOriginally posted ondaveskillerbread - 3 out of 5 stars review11/16/2016I have no doubt that this bread is perfectly delicious but why in the world do so many bread companies feel the need to add so much sugar?? In this case, a not insignificant 5 grams per slice. Other breads such as Ezekiel are perfectly delicious w/ as good or better nutritional value - AND have zero sugar per slice!! I sure wish more companies could follow their lead!!
so close and yet so far
