Picks up great and has a swivel head

It's a great vacuum if you don't mind if it doesn't have a bright light and short electrical cord.

I've owned a lot of vacuums and this is hands down the best. Usually with lots of pet hair, the vacuum just kind of pushes it around. This really gets into the carpet and gets the hair, and on hard floor it sucks it up without just blowing it away. I recommend this one to anyone with a pet.

Great vacuum!

Not a fan. this thing sucks up cords which I was expecting it to be like most vacuums these days and not do that. also the internal 'kill switch' to stop the brushes from rotating is super sensitive; it will stop vacuuming on my rug. i don't have pets but i couldn't imagine this being effective for pets. i wish i could return it. not worth the price

This is the kind of item that you need to handle before you buy. If there is one thing about a vacuum that will make you hesitant to use, it's the maneuverability. Yes, this vacuum is powerful but with the larger cup size, it is very awkward and very stressful on the arms, back and shoulders. It's not just the large size, it's the way the weight is distributed. The cup is near the middle of the handle so when you are stroking it back and forth on your floors, it is constantly wobbling from side to side. I don't know about you, but that is uncomfortable for me and it discourages me from vacuuming. Like I needed another reason!
