Golden flaxseed is a much better flavor than brown, which is what is sold in a smaller more easily found bags. The flavor is more mild and being pre-ground makes it incredibly easy to use.

Have not opened the bag yet,but judging by what I see, it looks great, I use this on my cearals, in my soups and a lot of snacks! I would not be without my ground flaxseed.

I use it in all my baked goods to add some extra nutrition and like to substitute ground flax+water (2.5TB Water +1 TB ground flax) when I don't have butter or eggs available to me. Another user said it tasted bad? I have never eaten it raw, so I can't comment on that. But in baked goods (breads, granola bars, muffins etc.) it is delicious if you're looking for that taste, and if you're not, you won't notice it. My parents, who would never eat anything that is healthy intentionally, love the baked goods I make and cannot believe that there is flax in there. I do sincerely hope that Sam's continues to carry this brand. Our family adores it.

This Milled Flaxseed product by Premium Gold Milling Co., is made in America, and has a very long shelf life, with or without refrigeration, within its own resealing package. A Tablespoon or two can be used as a substitute for an egg in many recipes. My personal favorite is to add a heaping tablespoon to my bowl of Oatmeal - makes it very creamy; together with a handful of raisins, dried cherries, and breakfast is simply wonderful.
