I do wish that the lid could remain flat after placing the K-cup and lowering it -- but it's purely a cosmetic concern and it's only while there's a K-cup in the unit. I definitely recommend it -- I have the Silver Sage (it adds a nice spot of color in my black and blue-gray kitchen.

You just lift the lid, put in your pod and press the size cup you want. There is no wait time for it to warm up. This one also has an over ice button for ice coffee.
