Black Barrel is my favorite whiskey. I first tried it at the Jameson Distillery in June and have enjoyed ever since. I especially like it in an Old Fashioned cocktail. To me, Black Barrel has a somewhat stronger taste than the regular Jameson, and I like that.

Get one if those softball sized ice orbs, drop it in one if those fancy swishy cups, and pour that delicate amber nectar allowing the crackle of the ice to set your tingles in motion. Then sit back relax and supple that ambrosiac liquid. How do you kick it into super chillaxed?

I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of this whiskey. I could smell and taste the notes of the burned barrel and I feel it complimented the flavors nicely. I prefer my whiskey neat and appreciate when I don’t have to add a splash of water to open up the flavors - did not need to add water to this one!

A favorite at our house. Smooth is best way I can describe this. It's good on the rocks, as an Irish mule, and is a must for doing pickle backs. I've tried many more expensive Irish whiskeys and this is still my go to. A good price point and a great taste.

The blend of pot still and grain whiskey finished with the double charred oak makes for an exceptionally smooth drinking experience. The creamy vanilla flavors of traditional Jameson are present but brought to a new level with nice spice and a fruity finish.

I first tried this at the Jameson distillery outside cork. we bought a couple of bottles duty free to take home with us. Since then, we always have one bottle in the house. It is our go-to sipping whiskey. We just can’t get over how smooth it tastes, great flavor, etc. for the cost of a bottle. Incredibly worth it.

I found this when I stopped in Dublin for a tour of the original distillery from a cruise ship. Took the mixology class and made an old fashioned with it. Also made a whiskey sour with the original Jameson which I added to my collection. Never drank whiskey before that but you made a convert of me. I also had a bottle labeled for my son. Then you had to go and bring out Jameson Orange. Oh boy!!! The choices!!!! Great company, great product.

Okay let's talk about it! I am a Jameson whiskey girl through and through. I went to a restaurant and saw they had the black barrel on their menu and my life was changed. It taste so smoothe it adds to classic Jameson flavor we already know but somehow find more depth in the flavor. It is worth the price tag but it gets dangerous a little goes a long way.

I actually had this in a sampler pack my wife brought from her trip to Ireland. Before this, the only Jameson product I had tried was Jameson Iris Whiskey. The sampler also included the Irish Whiskey, Caskmates Stout Edition and Crested. Though the finish on the Caskmates was very nice, and I preferred it over the Irish Whiskey, the combination bourbon and sherry finish was a bit nicer. Unfortunately, my favorite of the four was the Crested which is unavailable in the United States

Some people can handle Jameson really well without a hangover. I used to be able to but the older I got the less I can handle. I do get a hangover so I would say drink responsibly and with a glass of water. Pickle back shots are the best!!! Jameson and pickle juice!
