It's Excellent in every way!! Wow the smell is spot on and the Taste well once you had a taste it a keeper for sure!!! I keep it on hand always no Exception!!!!# just ask my wife of 38 years love the stuff and so does my friends... And yea I would pay more for it for sure....

Jameson hit a home run with this one. For the cost of this whiskey, you get an extremely smooth whiskey, with multiple tastes for you palate. I refer this to a sipping whiskey and not a shot whiskey. Extends the conversation by sipping and enjoying the flavor.

Jameson Black Barrel is mostly pot still malted and unmalted barley aged for considerably longer than standard Jameson — 12 years vs. 5 to 7, in both Bourbon and sherry casks. Then a touch of grain whiskey that’s been aged in Wild Turkey barrels is added to the mix. Bottling alcohol level remains at 80 proof.

The Jameson Black Barrel to me is for your more experienced Jameson drinker. I pour it over one ice cube or just straight and enjoy it with a cigar after a hard week of work. The combo of the cigar and the carmel notes of the Jameson Black Barrel go great together.

Black Barrel is one of the best whiskeys I have had as a sipping whiskey! The incomparable smooth taste—with caramel and vanilla notes—is awesome. One of my favorites of any whiskey I have had—from sipping on ice, naked or mixed with ginger, this whiskey is top shelf and well worth the price. Can’t beat this Irish Whiskey from these vantage points. I have had better straight up, but none have the drinkability and versatility that Jameson Black Barrel brings! This is my favorite go to Irish whiskey and Jameson label for all occasions!

While I enjoy the many varieties of Jameson, Jameson Black Barrel is my favorite. It has a hearty full body flavor that leave many other whiskies wanting. I have tried many other tastes coming out of Ireland, and Scotland, including Talisker that makes your lips and tongue tingle, but Black Barrel is indeed my go to drink. This is not to say that the others are not good, and they are, but it is personal preference.

A favorite at our house. Smooth is best way I can describe this. It's good on the rocks, as an Irish mule, and is a must for doing pickle backs. I've tried many more expensive Irish whiskeys and this is still my go to. A good price point and a great taste.
