- 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/26/2026Great chicken. My granddaughter loves when I buy this chicken. She says it is great. But, I have to be honest with you. Buster, our cat, is usually the first one begging for it. He devours it. Yes, we have to share it with him too. He is spoiled rotten.
Succulent rotisserie chicken
Zsa Zsa - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase5/10/2026They're huge and for 5 bucks they're hard to beat. The only problem is getting your hands on one. There never seems to be any ready when I'm there and if there is some ready it's like black Friday. Everybody's climbing over each other to get one like a mindless zombies. Good chicken though.
Excellent Chicken.
Me - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase3/29/2026My favorite cheater meal is on Rotisserie chicken away. I pick up a Rotisserie chicken and pick the meat and skin off of the bone, placing it onto a stock pot with six quarts of water. I add a tablespoon of chicken base and about a tablespoon of salt, pepper and garlic seasoning and a half teaspoon of celery salt, then cook at a low boil for two hours. I then remove the skin, any bones that might have missed detection and any otjer unsavory looking stock. Add a package of frozen dunplings, reduce to low and cook for 30 minutes. Your mama would be proud of this meal
Easy chicken and dumplings.
Pappy - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/9/2026Sam’s Club rotisserie chicken can’t be beat. They are massive mouthfuls of juiciness and flavor. No one can beat their size, quality, or cost at $4.99. They are great from the store to the table, or they can be used to make chicken salad that’s to die for. My family and I enjoy them every week and would highly recommend them to every customer.
If You Can’t Beat ‘Em….
Tommy - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/25/2026These chickens seem to be hit or miss. I feel they need to roast longer, I often get them not done on the inside. I usually bring it home and pop it in my air fryer for a while. Otherwise they are flavorful and great for a quick meal or for Picking apart for your favorite recipe calling for cooked chicken.
Great Chicken but Check the Doneness
MB - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase8/20/2026Doesn't taste as good as it used to. Not sure if they changed the spices or just unhealthy chickens but years ago these were so much better. The breast just had a different texture, was juicier and more flavorful. The price is always great and you get multiple meals out of one or two chickens depending on the family size.
Go to dinner
MissBNH - 2 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase2/6/2026THE CHICKEN IS NOT COMPLETELY COOKED ALL THE WAY THROUGH. IT'S ALWAYS WHITE ON THE OUTSIDE & RUNNY & UNCOOKED INSIDE. IT NEEDS MORE TIME TO COOK. I WON'T BE BUYING ANYMORE BECAUSE THE PURPOSE OF ME BUYING THE CHICKEN SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO COOK. AND IT'S DANGEROUS TO EAT HALF COOK CHICKEN.
UNCOOKED CHICKEN
J TRAHAN - 2 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase3/25/2026I have pics of your "fully cooked" chicken (which is normally good) but the one I got (my fault for not looking closely) was charred black on one wing and VERY uncooked internally when I cut the leg/thigh pieces. I suggest lower temp cooking for a longer period of time.
poorly cooked
azphil - 2 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase3/5/2026We buy the fresh rotisserie chicken every week, and now this is the second time, we encounter some undercooked parts of the chicken drums. It’s not only a health risk, but I can’t understand how this can happen. Since the rotisserie machine should cook all chicken evenly. We did eat the chicken breasts before finding the raw parts on the chicken.
Raw chicken parts
Mari - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase6/15/2026I bought 2 of these to make chicken salad for my boys birthday party but we could not serve it because the chicken was rotten. Im not posting this to put Sam’s Club down in any way because I honestly I love shopping there and will still continue to shop there! I’m just wanting people to be aware! I’m sure it wasn’t done on purpose but honestly I’m not sure how the person cooking it didn’t notice something was wrong with it. It was unfortunate to have to throw them both away I did get credit for the purchase but I hate to think what would have happened if my family would have eaten it. My advice just make sure you check the whole chicken before eating. It didn’t have a bad smell when we opened container so of course we couldn’t rely on that ...
I wouldn’t buy it again unfortunately
Jewelz - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase6/14/2026I was so excited on making a salad and my husband saw the chicken and cut off a puece of leg . The leg was raw . Squirting blood and very pink . I just threw it away and now I will pass . This is like the 3rd time it happens. Thank You , but I will not be buying rotisserie chicken from Sam's any more.
Semi raw chicken.
Anonymous - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase8/4/2026Terrible. Tastes like bleach. Never had that before. Last 2 were not fully cooked. Had to finish in my oven. Do not plan on anymore chickens from Sam's . What a shame
No more rotisserie chicken
Tammy - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/27/2026The chicken wasn't all the way cooked and you can see blood around the bones (legs and wings) when cut. I'll just throw it in the oven, until I read the label. It was processed @ 9a., over 6 hours later. I'll make sure I check the time before purchasing again.
Check the date and time processed.
Kamari Renee - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase3/22/2026Sams Rotisserie Chicken was RED RAW!! I Drove 1 hr to Sam’s to return, my purchased raw chicken to manager Justin. I suggest they have their rotisserie chicken machine recalibrated, also seemed as machine was leaking water at base. Justine promptly addressed my concern and gave a 15 gift card for gas.
Red Raw rotisserie chicken!
Tina Curtis - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/21/2026The rotisserie chicken was undercooked. I had to put it in the oven to finish cooking it. I was not pleased with that as I was trying to avoid cooking that day; I have bought chicken at Sam's before but this time I picked a WRONG one. Not sure if l'll be buying another one anytime soon.
Undercooked Chicken
Samsshopper26 - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/20/2026Sam’s is adding a seasoning on the chicken that does not taste good! Why can’t Sam’s just use salt and pepper and let the customer add the seasonings they like rather then the customers don’t buy the chicken because you are changing the flavor of the chicken to what someone at the store likes.
Rotisserie chicken
Guest - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase2/4/2026Normally the rotisserie chicken is cooked just right. The last two I purchased were dry and not cooked all the way through. They were not as tasty as they normally were. They need to be cooked so the skin is crispy brown or as I say "burnt just right."
Rostisserie Chicken
Willis Crew - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/21/2026Have no idea what’s going on with the rotisserie chickens these days! Stood in line for the longest to get 2 and they had no taste and still not done and before that ordered 2 for pickup with other things and they were overcooked and hard , the dog wouldn’t eat it! I was refunded my money for the burnt ones, the other one was thrown in the trash! I’m not one to complain but just wanted to know if there’s new employees making them or what. Wish they would get original rotisserie chicken back because they were perfectly cooked everytime!
Rotisserie chicken
Mel - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/30/2026I always buy the chicken. But this time it was raw on bottom, dark meat. All four were way undercooked. I know sometimes they are pink but I threw mine away. My daughter cook hers in the oven but the white meat dried out by the time the dark meat cooked. My other daughter with two of the four chickens did not risk it with her kids and when she saw how raw they were she threw them out. It was like they did not turn while roasting. I think you need to check your ovens.
Raw dark meat
Barbara - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/8/2026I ordered on Sunday for curbside pickup on Monday . Once I arrived the associate said I'm sorry but we are out of rotisserie chicken. Sam's you have to do better! If someone places an order, that item is reserved for that person! The main reason I placed an order for pickup was that chicken!! Get your order process figured out better! Do better Sam's club!
