Ice tastes like plastic.

If you don’t use the ice or take out right after it drops and put it in the freezer it melts and the water just recycles. Since the inside is made of plastic maybe this is why ice tastes like it. If I constantly dump the recycled ice the machine is on all day. I tried fresh ice made with fresh filtered water and it ruined my vodka, so don’t recommend serving it to your guests. Also, it leaks all over my countertop. Not happy!

works well for the first couple of months

I went thru 3 of these. I babied the first two by draining drying out and resetting them when they stopped working. this third one is the worst yet where the ice pieces are sticking to the tines and not falling off. the manufacturer is not responsive and sends me a replacement instead of the rebate to try another one.
