When I learned that there was a RM Private Selection RYE BARREL-Aged Red Blend, I could not get to the store fast enough to try it! I even called over a few friends to try the new flavor with me...YUCK! I do not like this wine and rye pairing, it is so incredibly bitter to me and tastes like old burnt oak wood chips. One of my favorite wines for cold winters + early fall. The flavor gives off a quick hit, but the punch is smooth nonetheless. Goes great with steaks, pork chops (etc). 10/10 recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly suprised to find out that this rye barrel wine was quite smooth tasting. I dont usually like anything to do with Rye anthing but I decided to try it out anyway. It was smooth and dry with a hint of sweet notes. This wine paired well with our salmon cheese and veggies dish. I think this wine would be a fanstatic complement to other dishes as well. If you like your wine a little on the drier side thwn this is the one for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Robert Mondavi Red Blend has great complexity. You can taste the dark fruits (plum and berries) that are balanced with some spice and oak. It paired nicely with our charcuterie board of goat cheese and prosciutto.

However, the added twist of rye and gingerbread spice and subtle toasted oak by Robert was how every Red Blend should taste! This was by far the most surprising in flavor concepts but the most appreciated. For the first time, I could agree this was better than most competitors. Bravo for making a balanced red blend, I can enjoy with any dinner I choose.
